Once we start imposing penalties for non-participation we begin the downward journey on the slippery slope to "Abondonedforumville." Mm, he has a point. It's just a little annoying to see so few people in on this. Say Reffy and Zovo are in the final. That makes me, Kaez, and Tam reviewing and voting. That's really not fair to them, because they probably put a huge amount of work into writing good, high quality pieces. |

The arena is for the betterment of everyone, and one of the goals of the forum was betterment, if I remember; putting the "Writing" back in AWR. People like being told what they did wrong, so they can fix it. If someone is in the Arena for no one but themselves and not helping anyone, that's a dick move. It's wrong to join a group dedicated to betterment while you do nothing to aid that betterment. Of course, as I said before, that's my opinion, so do what you want, Schro. Maybe what I say will change someone's decisions, and that's the goal. But I know I sure as hell won't change yours, so meh.  |
