You said you were kind of feeling a western, and I've given you an idea of the applicable tech-level of the area; if you wanna shoot me a PM with a brief run down of something you'd be interested in writing we can work with that. That's about how it went with Kaez, and that's shaping up beautifully. I'll need to do some brainstorming, but I'm definitely interested. I've always loved Cattle Punk type stuff. Judging by your earlier statements, I'm guessing you already have something in mind for their culture and politics as well?

Not so much, except that they are opposed to monarchial rule. It being the primary reason they seperated from the Brokenlands. Relations between the two nations (present day) are tense, but not openly hostile. Who's to say what happened in the past?
You are.

I was wondering about the Brokenlands as you mentioned in the character thing that I was (possibly) a criminal there and Ali was queen of it, I was wondering what was going on about it as I'd like to help develop my character and had some ideas I would like to run past you.

Any ideas you have, feel free to shoot 'em to via PM or just post here. Either way is fine. As far as characters go; I'm starting to regret posting the speculation on future characters because the more I think about this the more I find I'm changing them around. For instance, though I originally had ideas for your character, at this point you've largely been written out. Sorry. Not saying you won't find a way back in, only I wish I hadn't made it seem as though these things were set in stone. Since the whole process is very much in flux. As for the Brokenlands, aside for the little bit I've been discussing with Kwan, I've done little more than assume that eating pork will be illegal there. . .

I'll probably fire off a PM later tonight.
I won't be using my author avatar for this one, though, so if you still want me for the main story I'm open.

Fair enough, it's just an idea I thought of, seeing as you said you didn't really have anything concrete on my character.

Sorry about the delay with the Grove. Business is finally catching up to me. I intend to finish the chapter tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest.

Say, I read the Grove. Awesome work - I love this whole idea! Just make sure that I get a cameo in getting stuck there.

Unfortunately, my story takes place a long time ago and ends a long time ago (it's only got 9 parts and 3 of them you read, so it's not a huge thing) so there won't be any Sensar involved in it... ... BUT! There might be an epilogue to the epilogue, if it's reviewed favorably. >.> Or, of course, not.

I curse Zovo and his slowness to replying back to me about my character. Your story makes me want to work on mine!

I curse Zovo and his slowness to replying back to me about my character. Your story makes me want to work on mine! I'm having a hard figuring out the best way to tell you I'm not fond of the idea. It's not a bad idea, but it just doesn't seem like it's going to work here. It's too. . . expansive, I think is the right word. Too big. See, and I tried to explain this to Reffy as well, Kaez's character is a bit of an exception which is why I've allowed him to kind of run with it. I've already pretty much done what I had intended to do with his character, he's scenery. He wrote me a PM asking if he could write a story explaining in detail how he became scenery. He sent me a detailed explanation of what I had in mind and asked if there were any lore problems. I explained to him what he needed to know, and he reworked whatever needed to be reworked. Thankfully, he and I were pretty close to being on the same page from the beginning, so "The Grove" is coming out really nicely. For everyone else, though, I haven't even written you into the story yet; and allowing you to create your own character's (as manifestations of yourselves) and their cooresponding backstory basicly puts constraints around what I can eventually do with you. I'd rather you wrote stories about people who are not you, interacting with people who are not anyone else. At least until i can decide how I want to cast you in the story. Does that make sense? Writing your own character before I do, is kind of like walking into my game and stealing the ball. For instance, Sensar could write a story about his character, because it's pretty unlikely I'll be bringing him back for any reason. This isn't aimed at you specifically, Dragon, there are a few people to whom this is directed.
