How's it going, Mr. Zovo? :] Efforts concentrated elsewhere. I'm really trying to decide on what/who to write next. Virtually every character either who has appeared so far has a past and future to be written, I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around all the details at once while at the same time working on the May Assignment.

“I hate twilight.” Tamwynius said as he replaced his spectacles to their proper position on the bridge of his nose.
“What?” One of his companions spoke, a tall robed man with flowing blonde locks of hair hung to his shoulders. “Didn’t you just the other day . . .”
I just noticed this from re-reading the story. Is that another crack at me? ;D

So, the Folly is going to some kind of world-shattering catastrophe, I take it? Something like a minor meteor impact or tsunami that wipes out a good chunk of land?

Not quite. A very brief run down. . . In experimenting with the Threads, the third Scion of Ad'Min, Taed (name subject to change) not only tears a great fissure in the world (think grand canyon style), but actually severs the Threads connecting past to present; thereby erasing most of history.
Citys and sturctures still stand, but people don't recall how they got there. Items still exist, but no one knows how they work anymore. People have to relearn things they used to know. It's basicly a huge mind-wipe for the vast majority of the world. It's really difficult for those who experienced the folly, but 1,000 years down the road (present day) folks have gotten stuff pretty well figured out.
History begins at this point because no one remembers what happened before it or why, exactly it happened to begin with.

Alright, so I'm beginning to work out a world map in my head and I'm curious who is interested in working with me (per my criteria) on this project.
I'm drawing borders and establishing nations, but if possible I'd like to assign volunteers to flesh out the cultures and peoples and locations and such in these nations. What I'm looking for are volunteers who are willing to help create an intergrated consistent world. What I don't want is people who are wiling to just drum up some stats (population, techlevel, political alignment, etc) and call it good; I can do that, it takes literally minutes.
What I want to create is something more than a world of loosely affiliated character realms; I want a world built of stories. I want to see these cultures in action, how these cultures view their world, and how they relate to other cultures. Expect to devote 10,000+ words over the course of time. I'm not looking for quick, I'm looking for commited.
I'm oing to create a timeline stretching frmo Taed's Folly to the present day (my personal story arc). What I'd like is to be able to use you guys' creations to fill in that 1,000 year gap between the two. This gives you alot of flexibility to do pretty much anything. Make history!
If you're interested let me know. I've got nations to assign. Also, Walder, check your PMs.

Also: feel free to rip-off anything you want from Project Fantasy that might catch your interest. It's quite dead, I wouldn't mind if anything from it went to use.

From your outline I know that in the course of your story I'll be getting an idea of who the people in the area are and how they live. Sure these things will change with time, but it take little more thn extrapolation on what happens to the region after your story ends, and how the events in the story affect those people. That whole region is essentially yours to work with. I'm going to try drawing up some rough maps and getting them scanned in so you guys (those who volunteer) can see what they're working with.

I'd really like to do something for the Brokenlands, but I'm afraid that it might be too much for me to handle, especially given how far behind I am for Mass Effect and Fourth War.
