Hello, and welcome to A World Removed; my tiny little allegorical corner of the forum.
Spawning from the April Writing Assignment in which we were asked to write stories which starred our fellow forum members I began developing the world of AWR in my head. By popular demand, I've decided to make it an honest to goodness world building project.
In this forum expect to find notes on the world/lore of A World Removed, illustrations (maybe), and of course, more stories starring you the AWR forum goers.
Please use this thread to discuss anything you read, ask questions, or even provide ideas. Let me know what you want to read about, it'll help drive the project if I know what you want to know.
Do enjoy.

This is an awesome idea.
And I love the title.

This is an awesome idea. And I love the title. If I develop it far enough, I might even go so far as to make an RP scenario out of it.

Any story in which I'm personified as a telepathic forest gets my approval.

*gets down on knees* Please, Zovo, please let there be anthropomorphic polar bears! To those who are unaware; I generally tend to avoid anthropomorphizing animals in my writing. It just seems like the lazy way out of actually having to create anything. "I'll just take this animal that already exists and make it talk! I'm brilliant!"

Zovo. I love it, and can't wait to read more. :] I think I'll try to draw some of the characters as I see them; won't be good ones, but Imma try! :]

Speaking of drawing: are we going to be seeing a map for this world? I'm willing to make one if you'd like, of course (a la here or here.) :]

I'm willing to make one if you'd like, of course (a la here or here.) :] Well, at the moment I've only got a couple of areas in my head, so I haven't really decided on a size/shapre/look for it yet. If you want to be involved, though, I'll send you a rough copy when I get there.

Your call -- let me know whenever the time comes, or not. :]

"I'll just take this animal that already exists and make it talk! I'm brilliant!" Well... um... would you be willing to accept a race made by me? It won't be an anthropomophic animal! Promise! *lip quiver* This is primarily a solo effort; in order to keep the vision unified. Though I appreciate your willingness to help.
