Yeah, I'd definitely be down for designing a culture. Also: feel free to rip-off anything you want from Project Fantasy that might catch your interest. It's quite dead, I wouldn't mind if anything from it went to use. You're bsicly already doing it. From your outline I know that in the course of your story I'll be getting an idea of who the people in the area are and how they live. Sure these things will change with time, but it take little more thn extrapolation on what happens to the region after your story ends, and how the events in the story affect those people. That whole region is essentially yours to work with. I'm going to try drawing up some rough maps and getting them scanned in so you guys (those who volunteer) can see what they're working with. "One culture per person" rule, eh? EH? Fascism!

I'd really like to do something for the Brokenlands, but I'm afraid that it might be too much for me to handle, especially given how far behind I am for Mass Effect and Fourth War. I'm actually going to handle the Brokenlands myself, their is some pretty integral "main-arc" points there. However, I have considered your interest (since you mentioned it before) and I'm pretty sure there is a smaller borderland area to the south east which has ceded from the Queen's control. Culturally and technologically they are very similar, though politicly much opposed. Interested?

Should the startling circumstance arrive where you don't find someone for every single culture, feel free to let me know :]

I can help write stuff. I don't exactly know how good I'll be at creating cultures so much as editing them to make them cohesive. Cultures I tend to make tend to all look the same since I have this morbid fascination with death.
Edit: For example, I thought it'd be awesome if, in the very center of The Grove, it became nightmare land.
Like a place where only those with strong wills can hope to venture and then have to wade through tortured souls and evil magic or something.
But that trope gets played to death...

That's like. . . the opposite of the Grove.

That's like. . . the opposite of the Grove. Yes. But it's not entirely unlike a place that will be featured in my story. :]

That's like. . . the opposite of the Grove. Then I misunderstood the nature of the Grove. =P

Alrighty, I'll see what I can do about getting you some very brief background information to work with. Tonight or early tomorrow, be on the look-out.

You said you were kind of feeling a western, and I've given you an idea of the applicable tech-level of the area; if you wanna shoot me a PM with a brief run down of something you'd be interested in writing we can work with that.
That's about how it went with Kaez, and that's shaping up beautifully.
Edit: You know, what with Kwanland (name subject to change) being so close to Sephro, and Sephro being such a huge hub for trade; it almost seems like a railroad would be in order. . .
