Hoping to see some big finishing numbers here. We're only just over 45,000 for the month at the moment, which is well below January and February. We've got Sawyer's count, once he gives me an actual number, which should take us over 50,000, but it would be nice to see that number go even higher.

Was in a bit of a rut this month, but the last ten days have been really good writing wise. Thanks to that Duotrope description (James, it's excellent), I've been focused on re-editing a lot of my previous work, which is something I don't often do, and preparing to send them out and about. And the month has ended well, with news that a poem I posted on here will be published and featured on a website in May for a week. So, a victory for the revision process.
On the actual writing side, my cousin wants to adapt one of my stories, Insurance (also from the Festival of Writes) into a short film, so I've been helping him churn up a screenplay, revise the ending, and make a summary so we can apply for funding.

Hey congrats on the poetry publication. You'll have to make sure we all get a look at that short film.

Man, that is really awesome. Congratulations!

Alright, start posting your final word counts for March. Even if you didn't make 10,000 let me know what you ended up with.
The April post will go up tomorrow.

January: 7 Winners; Word Count - 89,304 February: 7 Winners; Word Count - 85,629 March: 5 Winners; Word Count - 66,429 So this is how we're going currently. I'm actually super pleased with 66,429 for March. Yes, it's considerably lower than the first two months. However, it was done without competitions, that was people working under their own steam. Which is awesome. April post incoming. Edit: Oh, also: We're at 241,362 words for the forum total. So on our current speed, by the end of the year, we'll be at 965,448 words. Which is a little short of one million, so let's step it up just a little bit.
