So anybody's made a start yet? Are people sticking heavily to the myth or are you using it very loosely? Doing a thing that is loosely related to the monthly madness but won't be posted in the competition thread ... So, yes?  |

I have reasons. I (usually) do awfully in competitions and they stress me out. So I'm using the prompt and still writing but don't want to be "Judged" or put in a line-up of who did the best and who came in at the bottom. The Cup really knackered me. My confidence is now diddlysquat in terms of competitions. I'd like to build up that confidence again and enjoy the writing process rather than stressing - which is what I did for most of the Cup. I don't think I enjoyed much of the Cup writing process because I was stressing about winning or whether it'd live up to expectations or even be understood ...
YAY for having anxieties! Sorry.

Still working on it. As I said I'm working a little slower. Hours have picked up at work as well so that's not really helping.

So after much hype I think I may have to pull out. I'm not going to be making a satisfying ending by the due date nor will I be able to edit. So, at the moment, all I have is a very long and well written outline. I don't think its really fitting with the theme anyway. Instead, what I'm going to do is keep working on it. I've started to become interested in publishing something, so I may use this as an opportunity to get my writing out into the world.
I dunno. I just know that it no longer really fits with the theme and what I will submit will just be kinda bad.
