So how unique does something have to be to qualify as a relic? One of the ideas I have for my setting is a certain resource that was once plentiful, but ever since a certain calamity has been extremely rare and closely hoarded by those still holding power. Obviously not Pete, but, I think if there was only one left, or only one "unit" of them (so like maybe there's thousands but there used to be billions), the you should be ok. "The Last McGuffin." I think you're fine. Like, what if there was only one Valyrian steel sword in the Martinverse? Same idea, IMO.

I just like the idea that Kwan wants to use resources as a relic.
You are such a capitalist.

I really wanted you and Zovo to have the one you have, so it was between this one and Mountain Summit for Jor... and frankly, both of those are just so easily related to the Gospel that it was going to end up like this either way. So how unique does something have to be to qualify as a relic? One of the ideas I have for my setting is a certain resource that was once plentiful, but ever since a certain calamity has been extremely rare and closely hoarded by those still holding power. So for the most part is either has to be stolen, traded for exorbitant prices, or scavenged out of derelicts. That seems fine. That wasn't what I was aiming for, but I care more about you guys writing stuff that really fleshes out your worlds than fitting exact prompts.

Well, I'm 400 words in after a morning brainstorm.
Zovo and I have very different methods.

Think I might be banging this one out early and spending some time on touch ups.
Having weekend days in the middle of the rotation rather than on either end, I think, is going to pay off for me.

Ref and I got a pretty good topic I think. I like mountains! Gonna try really hard to avoid the "all-knowing reclusive wiseman on top of the mountain" trope.

I think Taed/Allya and Inkdrinker/Injin are the best topics. But I do really like the one I ended up with as well.

I'm kind of annoyed with my topic because it doesn't easily fit into my world. I can make it work and usually when I have to do that it becomes awesome but still. I'll probably have mine done before Sunday even though I haven't started because I'm headed to a ski trip with friends from Sun-Thur and plan to be too tired/drunk/distracted to write.

Had a couple I was choosing between and the topic settled it.

Neuromancer has really frazzled my brain because oh man, fortress-city and swamp monsters now seem glaringly obvious sci-fi topic prompts.

I can't figure out what my epic artifact will be.
Also, I may go sci-fi as well, is that going to be the chosen theme with us?
