I actually worry that 25,000 words of Jonathan is going to get fucking grating for the reader.
However, I guess that illuminates why Katherine is sleeping around.
... I've only just thought of that.

Also, 2,500+ words today. I actually only need to go at 1,720 words a day to reach 50,000. Which is hardly anymore than 1,667.

 I'm kinda embarrassed to say it, but I'm way behind. It's the taking part that counts! You wouldn't have done those 3k words if you didn't start. Snippet is interesting James. Very gloomy and cynical. Great feelings and captured well. |

NaNo-Moan incoming:
Hit the dulldrums or the wall. Not sure which? I don't fancy writing the novel any more. Love the novel (although slightly worried that I have meandered quite a bit) and want to continue because I love the characters as well but losing "Oomph". Done my daily and a bit more just to keep momentum but not feeling it. Pity because it is quite an exciting bit in the book: The grand cuttlefish scene! But, yeah ...
Stopping for the night. Hopefully the swing of it'll come back tomorrow. I could just be tired!
Also looking for excuses not to write the novel. Hence the random flash on the spammer thread. I want to keep writing and want to finish the novel but feel like I can't be arsed.

Nano-Motivation for Reffy. I don't think I'm going to make 50k. I don't think anybody else is in front of me besides you. Every year, AWR has had one writer make it to that 50k mark. Reffy. 40k! Tired.
Got the NaNoRilla today but had a terrible night's sleep. Asthma is playing up again (I suspect the cold air and an incoming sniffle is causing it) and for some reason my doctor's don't have the asthma pumps as a repeat prescription for me. Idiots. Will need to call on Monday. Must have taken the puffer 3x last night just to be comfortable and go back to sleep. Can breathe but it's strained. Hate this feeling. Hoping it doesn't affect my NaNo-London day and that the current pump lasts long enough.

What I've learnt from NaNo is I get burnt out a lot quicker writing non-speculative fiction than I do when I'm writing speculative fiction.

I find I always want to keep writing when so close to the goal. It's like when you are reading a book and have a few pages left. You'd rather keep reading! Just killed the father. Cuttlefish attack happened. His daughter and son know nothing of it yet. The reporter (that daughter was fucking instead of her boyfriend) was the only witness. |

The temptation to keep going tonight is strong but I had a sort-of early start tomorrow and I ache with NaNo-injuries. Think my writing position on the sofa hasn't been entirely heathly. Tomorrow is the day!
