Going to make a start on NaNo-ing tonight. Not counting the 1k I did for Z's picture. Got 1667 words to write! Crazy, baby, yes I am!

Made my daily word target - woop! Day 1 done. May continue writing :] Anybody up for some Reffy Skype time?

Reading the NaNo Forums for a nice rounded break and found this more hilarious than I should have done. Felt it needed sharing. NaNo tricks for reaching the ultimate 50k (is not mine!)

By now, she had unearthed the measuring spoons, her non-stick frying pan that never lived up to its name, a ceramic bowl, nearly her entire set of silver spoons which now lay sprawled out on the counter in danger of tumbling over the edge, two flowerpots, a spade, an enormous knife Rory did not even know she had, the lavender hairdryer Ellen meant to take to college, a pair of his dad’s old work pants that needed a belt to stay up, a picture frame with broken glass because it had been placed under the toaster oven, two luckily unbroken picture frames, accompanied by a mirror, the stuffed tiger Rory had when he was eight and never got around to giving away, several cooking books, and another cardboard box, which his mother was presently digging through. She still had not found the spatula.

Word padding? What word padding? (At least The Long List fit the tone of this year's novel.)

Gonna try and do 4k tomorrow night. That may not work if I do the poem though. It takes longer to get a word count in a structured medium.

It's hard to keep an exact wordcount writing in the method that I am, but I'm able to get a decent estimate. And it's about 2,300 for today. I feel good.

Weekend. I was out for large parts of the day.

In the middle of one big writing sitting. First time this month I'm going to have to crank out 1,666 words in one go. Fortunately, I got my groove back for the Jonathan narrative style.

Kaez & James What happened to the original NaNo thread? The very first one we did? I wanted to see the celebrations when I got to 50k and re-read the Bel'Gonows snippets, etc.

There were fisty-cuffs. I may start a new sharing thread since I want to share bits. Been really enjoying writing even though I wasn't keen to start with. It will never see the light of day and get published but it feels damned good to be writing especially on something so massive.
