'Awe' was a good fucking topic.
But no, that's not what I meant by creative. You'll see, precious.

You must write a story without using the letter "A".

You must write a story without using the letter "A". You must write a story that features the word 'gelatinous' seventeen times.

Oh.
That's rather good, Pete.
Rather good, indeed.

Yeah, that's actually a great topic. Methinks you won't be getting too many entries for it with a January 18th deadline, though. That's only three weekdays, and some of the potential entrants will have overlap with the Arena.

We've got seven rounds of the Challenge. Only six people will be writing the next round of the Arena, and many of them will (likely) be the kind of writers who can put out something for both.
And, frankly, I'm optimistic about the future topics. I've got some good ideas.
We're okay.

Because I'm an idiot, what do you mean by chronological order?

Because I'm an idiot, what do you mean by chronological order? Nonlinear narrative.

I didn't reply because I figured that Taed genuinely didn't think he was being funny.
"Nonlinear narrative" is easily a more confusing term than "not chronological" in my book.
It's like someone going, "What's H20?" and you replying that it's a chemical compound made of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen that's vital for most organic processes.

Because you used an explanation, which wasn't exactly much less complicated than chronological order.

What the f--How is that not more clear!? I gave him something he could google, if nothing else. Drall knows what Nonlinear narrative is, though, I'd put money on it. He's seen Memento or Pulp Fiction or something.
