They should dispense with the Pep Talks. And get people like the second and third person to write Advice Columns. It would be so much better.

I agree on the pep talks. I appreciate the thought, but as I'm reading them I'm not getting pepped up, I just feel like I'm wasting time I should use for writing.
Speaking of, I got 2904 today. Gained back a bit.

Why not get the community involved or something? Make it a column on the front page instead of those naff videos. I'm sure a few of us could write something better. I've quit reading them. The NaNotoons is more productive for me. The stats page isn't updating right? ... Bleh. My word count updated but the words written today is wrong. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING! PANIC PANIC! >.>

Five chapters to go.
... I'm actually getting a weird feeling of anxiousness now.

NaNoWriMo fucked up my nice and pretty chart and I cba to change my timezone just to fix the bugger! Not written any words today ... yet it shows I've written 1,200something apparently. Shrug >.> Poor pretty chart! It also shows that I only did 700something yesterday when I know I did at least 1,700.
Grumblegrumblegrumble!

I'm having the same problem with my chart. It's annoying a d kind of disheartening to see it look like that.

Today's pep talk was actually a pep talk and a pretty nice one, too. Though, before anyone says it, I don't think the guy meant Twilight was the book he read. There's perfectly serviceable books out there on teenaged vampires that don't sparkle in the sun and that are written well.
Vampire Academy, for instance (also the reason I even mentioned the above, since it's a good series). Shameless plug for a wonderful author who writes in first person that I strive to replicate sometimes.

Vampires are old hat. The next sexy-teen-supernatural-love-object sensation is Constructs. mark my words. Animated statues of angsty teen angels, sexy flesh golems, etc.
We gotta get in on the ground floor of this thing before someone else does!

Not cool, Tam. You can't just spring 4,000 words out like that. I can't close the gap again in a day!

I had an excellent night last night where like 20 different ideas came into my head for the story. I proceeded to explode with creativity today, eager to get to the parts I want to get to.
It was fun.

I'm actually contemplating having the day off from writing Phantoms. It's 3:30pm and I haven't written anything today. I need to write a short 500 word story concerning Anglo-Saxons by tonight as well. Anyway, I'm not going to hit 50,000 words. If I stick to my outline I'm only going to end up with 40-42,000 words for November so I don't really have to worry about keeping up with the graph.
My only concern is if I have a day off today will that end up with me taking an even longer break.
