Not that it's a race here or anything but I'm now third fourth on this forum. Although, damn you, Tam! I had beaten you and then I refreshed your page and you had written more! Which meant I had to spend another twenty minutes also writing more.

Still not done tonight either! I have more left of today than you do... Also I'm pretty certain now I'm going to actually finish the book, probably clocking in at 100,000 words and find myself left stranded on 40-45,000 words on NaNo. Therefore failing it again. Which would be really annoying, if I didn't have a finished novel in front of me. |

I was doing okay for a little while there, but my schoolwork totally broke all my momentum and now I'm having all these doubts about the setting and what I've written so far. Blerg.
I'm going to try and recover and get as much done as I can this month, and then when my family are in New Zealand over the Christmas holidays and I have the house to myself I'm going to stage my own December NaNo.

Heck, they wouldn't even need to factor accommodation costs. We could road trip it across New Zealand while you were here. All that writing, Doctor Who discussion and impromptu stand-up comedy sessions. |

I probably -could- finagle a ticket if I really tried, but I've missed the last three Christmases with my dad's family and I'm looking forward to it this year.
Impromptu-stand-up-comedy-financed road trip does sound tempting, though.

If we only get by on three course meals instead of five course meals from our stand-up then you're just going to spend the whole time complaining about missing time with your dad's family. I don't need that sort of pressure on me, Taed. |

I've pretty much backburnered this.
I'm glad I took the time to at least get a start on it, cause now I have a jumping off point for future use, but doing it in 30 days is not my thing. Besides, I've given myself to Skyrim for a while.
