Congrats to Injin. You earned the nickname "Giantslayer". I think you're, maybe, overstating my competency here but regardless, congrats on the win Injin. Can't really disagree with any of Pete's comments. I realized when I charged back through doing edits that the pacing was all off. |

I'll be sitting down to read through all the stories soon.
I think your feedback is right on the money again, James. The confusion of whether they knew each other was partially intentionally, and partially due to how I approached and wrote the story. Based on the feeling I was getting from the art, I wrote through my strongest images first and then connected them. I think initially when I started writing they didn't know each other but I realized some way through the process that they did.

Regarding Round 4 prompts...
Are these intended as genre-prompts for flash fiction with fun referential titles?
Or should the title of the round be taken into account as a thematic element of the story?
For example, are you just looking for a fantasy story?
Or a fantasy story specifically fitting the theme of "You Win or You Die?"

I am 99% sure the titles are just fun titles for the round and are not meant to be worked into your story. I am the 1%. Just quotes from relevant genre media. Not meant to be story titles at all. |

Good thing I decided to go ahead and post while I was still at work. I'm on the bus now and just realised I left my flash drive in my work comp.
I need to put a chain on that thing or something.
Also, Dragon, read your story. I liked it. Captured the little girl really well. Also, reminded me I need to get a bone folder. Been using my finger nail.
