A better story with typos is still a better story. I agree. But "this story wasn't the best" is kind of an important critique because then I ask "Why?", and "what could make this a better story?" and so on and so forth. Like, that's huge! That's a much more valuable and significant piece of criticism for me personally than "this sentence does not please my sense of aesthetics" or "you spelled catcus wrong". You spelled cactus wrong.

General rule of thumb about my judging, unless you make a mistake multiple times then I'm not probably going to even mention it (or very briefly mention "there was a few odd mistakes"). I try and keep things on the "bigger picture" approach. However, if I think you're not using commas right or you're constantly spelling a word wrong, I'll point that out because then it's not really a mistake anymore because you're doing it deliberately.

ETA on the judging?
I imagine James is basically done, but Taed's a grown-ass man with a grown-ass job, so I don't wanna rush 'im or anything.
Just really curious to hear the feedback.

I'll have mine done tomorrow.
Would have been tonight, but my grown-ass job has "Thirsty Thursdays," so I'll spend the evening getting business-drunk.

The best part is that I'm being paid very, very poorly!
So yeah, I've pretty much got it all going on.

The best part is that I'm being paid very, very poorly! So yeah, I've pretty much got it all going on. I feel like you're working for a company whose profits are derived solely from an app they made 3 years ago that was a smash hit for like a month and they spent all their cash on a Google-inspired building full of whiteboard floors and beanbag chairs. So this does not surprise me.

Next round's matches will be up soon. We just need to sort out the details of the last of the three matches (and confirm the middle match).

The next round's matches are up. Hopefully people will like what I think is some quite strong topics.
Reviews for the first round are imminent. Taed and I are both done, I'm just waiting for him to get online so we post them at roughly the same time.

Reviews are up!
Taed and I are apparently in agreement which I thought there was probably a 60/40 chance of happening after having read these stories.
So the scores are (on the assumption each judge has a point to give):
Team Zovo - 4 Team Kaez - 2
