1. Really starting to finally get the groove for the multiverse I've been working on, finished off the metaphysics, now o just need to write the novels. 2. Related to that last one, I think I finally have the fantasy series grounded where I want it. Hopefully I will have something to share soon. 3. Still working on March Challenge and KotR. Less confident that I'll finish as my novel has managed to grasp my attention. 4. Still outlining and soundtracking that musical. May turn into a three part movie musical.
...I know, I never do anything small.

I know. I ended up switching gears on March and went for a more Gothic Horror vibe, I hate it when I change my mind in the middle of a story. ..and yeah, Novel

I started something tonight. I had an idea that I had been kicking around for March Myth Madness, but I think it's evolving outside the realm of that and into it's own thing. I'm really not quite sure what it is yet.
But I've written just under 1000 words so far, and I can probably break 2000 before the night's over. This is more than I've written in months.

Is there, like, a page limit?
I'm at 14 pages and that's just Act II. Act one is...I don't even know, on a different computer. I'm so sorry for whoever has to read this.

I mean, once its finished I can probably edit it down to just the necessary bits for you. I'm kind of just getting carried away into making it more of a coming of age tale rather than some sort of Minotaur allegory.

I've written a report on global heritage and the World Heritage List, does that count?

It just might take me a little longer to review and there's no rush.

Most of my writing right now is academic by pure necessity, but I have two story ideas that I'm kicking around and gestating. Eventually I'll have the time and will to put them down.
Until then, reviewing it will have to be.

If this was November I'd probably try to turn it into a legit novel, but Nov is so far away for me right now ... You don't need to wait until Nov ... Camp NaNoWriMo starts in a week: campnanowrimo.org/about

Oh, that's pretty nifty. Thanks for the link.
I've got another idea for a story.
What if Holden Caulfield really did get with that prostitute? It kind of always bugged me about that book. I never really felt like I could identify with Holden. He wasn't me, he didn't do what I wanted to do. I would have jumped at the opportunity, would have probably regretted it, but would have done it anyway.
Though I feel like that story idea is kind of played out I still wanna run with it.
A mix of Catcher in the Rye and Dante's Divine Comedy. I probably don't have the skill for it. Going by John Green's interpretation of innocence, I've never really had that resonate with me. And maybe that's why I don't like Holden. I liked Phoebe, she was my favorite character and probably the one that still resonates with me.
So we have this kid who just dives further and further and further into a world of shit, with his friend that sticks with him until the very end. Like, on the surface it sounds really cliche and stupid. But maybe if I utilize what I'm good at (surrealist depictions?) then maybe it could work?
I dunno, just kinda throwing something out there. This medical surgical book I'm reading is making me freak out.

On second thought that's probably a bad idea. It is kinda cliche, and part of the reason everyone does like Holden is that he -didn't- go after the prostitute, that he was just kind of a scared little boy trying to look like an adult.

I know "everyone likes and related to Holden" is, like, the whole praise of Catcher in the Rye. But everyone I've actually spoken to that's read it finds him annoying, myself included. Maybe it's a generational thing.
