So last night I got really, really cross faded, and when my DD dropped me off at home I decided to write. Specifically I decided to work on the musical I drafted a while back. Here's some examples of what I discovered when I woke up this morning. - I apparently decided it should be a movie musical divided into three parts. I also decided to cast it in my head and use the names of the people I chose in place of character names.
- The cast consisted of; Martin Gore, Pete Wentz, Trent Reznor, Robert Smith, Jared Leto, Hozier, Elton John, Jack White, Romy Madley Smith, Oliver Sim, Florence Welch, and David Bowie in a small cameo at the end.
- It would've take place in a specific district of the fictional Suffragette City. Martin Gore would've been a captain to the Don of a 'hipster mafia' and Pete Wentz, Trent Reznor and Robert Smith would've been a few of his lieutenants. At the climax(in the third part) Pete Wentz and all the lieutenants(minus Reznor and Smith) would try to overthrow Martin Gore and, eventually, the Don.
- Despite this, the main plot would've been about a sailor(played by Hozier) returning from deployment overseas. While trying to acclimate to civilian life and reconnect with his girlfriend(unsure who would've played her) he would've been caught up in this hipster mafia after being introduced to Wentz by his buddy, played by Jack White.
- Several of the higher profile 'legends' would each sing a song they are well known for. For example, Robert Smith would sing Lullaby, Trent Reznor would sing Hurt, Martin Gore would sing Blasphemous Rumours.
- David Bowie's cameo would happen during Gore and Wentz' final confrontation. A fleet of limos would stop their final fight. A crowd of men and women in white suits would pour out of these and crowd around them. Then they would sing Moonage Daydream as David Bowie, The Don, walked through the crowd to them. Then he would cut the song off by shooting Wentz in the face for being a dick. Then the final scene would have him leading the entire cast in Dancing in the Streets.
My only defense for all of this? It was good weed and good vodka. |

Let's talk a bit about that Halloween idea that Bloodeye had.
I think it'd be particularly cool if we basically said: everyone on AWR works for this same company. One day, at the company store, a zombie attack happens. Blood and I maybe make a post introducing the zombie attack and a few of the characters (maybe Blood, me, James, Zovo, etc.)
And then we just let people have at it with the only rule being, once something is posted, it's canon and you can't undo it. So if James makes a post about him and Jor being attacked my zombies, Dragon can't come in with a post where James is doing some kind of other thing. You've got to either build on what's already been posted or start a whole new storyline. And nobody is limited to certain characters, either. I can write a story that's all about Mena and Reffy and that "I'm" (the Kaez character) not in at all. Everyone is able to write everyone else's characters and you can go as insane as you want. You can take it totally off the rails. Taed can come in and turn the storyline that James and Dragon are in into a sci-fi thing where they get abducted by aliens and when he posts that, that's canon. Anything goes at all. Just you have to keep it consistent and coherent. You have to respect everyone else's posts -- which means READING their posts, so I think it'd really get all of AWR together on it.
Anyone got any opinions on that? I think it could turn into something insane and fun. A Blacklisted for all of AWR, basically.
