Ha, yeah, I changed my mind, and went a little beyond my cliff-hanger. It's still cliff-hangery, but not a true cliffhanger any more.
I'm going to edit and hopefully jazz it up (I have very little exposition, conversely, but part of that is intentional. But I might need a little more.) But, it's basically done. Introduced the players, the setting, and set up the plot. It's loosely based on a novel idea I've been sitting on for a while (though obviously trimmed down), so I can't wait to see it through til the end, whether I win this round or not.

I was gonna keep this to myself, but I figure I'd put it out there... Is anyone else planning on ending at a cliffhanger that makes the judges want to put you forward?  I've chosen a different strategy, but my story definitely has a reason to provoke the judges to put me forward. |

Don't make me have to hate all of you. I'd like to see some submissions very soon. So, I'm pretty pleased with mine, and it's about 90% done, but I'm going out to see friends I'm not going to get to see again for a while and... that takes priority, here. So mine'll be up early tomorrow. You can take points for that if you gotta'. |

I'm touching mine up/last minute revisions and edits/etc. I technically finished it last night, but I don't wanna throw it up early for no reason. It's 10pm AST right now, and I will have it in in no less than 3 hours, which is to say before 12am EST. |

Mmm. No lie, I've honestly been having some kind of allergic reaction or something for the last two hours. No idea where it came from, but ever since dinner I've been able to breathe but not swallow. I think it's getting better finally; I've had some Benadryl without spitting it up and I can swallow my own saliva now. Gonna keep writing in between runs to the bathroom to vomit water and mucus ....  |

I'm actually now thinking it might be food stuck in my esophagus somehow, because it started with me choking a bit, and now I just coughed up a bunch of little steak chunks.
....So yeah, I might go to the ER. Going to wait and see if the last bout knocked it loose.
