I think I owe a lot to Taed and his sentient spaceship story for this one. I had completely forgotten about it until I started writing and then the tone really infected my writing, I think.

I think I owe a lot to Taed and his sentient spaceship story for this one. I had completely forgotten about it until I started writing and then the tone really infected my writing, I think. Yeah, I actually remember that style of computer commands as being quite aesthetically pleasing so I based it mine off of memory and what looked nice. |

Well, I do work with computers all day and found the story provocative enough to do one of my own. Phew- 4500 words done in 7(!?) straight hours of writing. I'm proud of myself for (a) finishing my draft in one sitting and (b) not getting over-obsessed with how the prose is going and stopping the flow to edit halfway through. Even if this scores low (which I'm pretty sure it's not going to because it's AWESOME), I'm pretty happy with myself for being able to get back into writing =) Even if it is infrequent. |

Double post  Damnit! Nearly finished my idea and totally come up with a new even better idea! What do I do with the one already written? >.< Edit: went with the original idea. I doubt I could make the second one work as well and I like the tone of this one. |
