*insert Stephen Fry's The Letter for the 902nd time in AWR's history* Perhaps the most-posted single video in AWR history. I have it on DVD now. It's on the special features of the box set for A Bit of Fry & Laurie. There's entire Cambridge Footlights show is on it. Including this:

I'm nearly done. I think it's going to clock in at around 4,000 words.

You are the driest and blandest of meats. And I, Sir Legs McCluck, did proclaim accurately the fall of the sky and lo the people trembled underneath a cascade of feathers and excrement. That's pretty much what my story is going to be about. BRB as I go write it.

Including this: I never buy anything on DVD, but you tempt me to. This seems wonderful. And I'll be damned if the Sherlock commentaries can be found anywhere online. You have Pete as a judge. It's not often he misses the point.

Mark and Steven talking the Holmes canon is amazing. And Benedict Cumberbatch mentions Nick Clegg! It must be Clegg's proudest moment. I haven't watched series two yet. I was actually thinking of watching it tomorrow. And yeah, it's awesome. All four series (although the forth series wasn't that great), the pilot, and the 1982 (?) Cambridge Footlight Revue. Which Emma Thompson was also in.

You have Pete as a judge. It's not often he misses the point. I feel like I do, sometimes. Never with you or Sekot or Taed, I don't think. But I feel like I miss the point of some writers' stories. Maybe it's that they don't make their points very -well-. Or maybe I genuinely am missing them. I always worry, whenever I finish a review, and say, "I don't really think it has a sense of purpose/it didn't invest the reader," that maybe I just -missed it-." Hopefully that's just self-consciousness. I'm pretty hard on myself when it comes to making sure my reviews are accurate, thorough, and at least somewhat -useful-. I never buy anything on DVD, but you tempt me to. This seems wonderful. And I'll be damned if the Sherlock commentaries can be found anywhere online. The first series commentaries are awesome. Which Emma Thompson was also in. Dammit. I can't even say I don't have the money for it. I -do and don't want to spend it but SO want to spend it-. How worse.
