Well, I've got a start underway. Feelin' good about it? ... Or maybe I do?

Zovo: Wait a minute…you distrust decent people… *Curses, my plan has backfired. I must figure out a new strategy to destroy him*
Agro/Kaez: I looked up and read The Modest Proposal as you suggested, and it gives me something to think about. To offer up what I was thinking; I was really aiming for something of a parody on those “do-it-yourself” books (as Melete/Isoldaa had guessed). The ones with all the exaggerated compliments to boost your confidence and the friendly “buddy-buddy” tone to make it feel like your not alone in your task. I just felt it clashed very well with the reality that the reader is completely alone and their “friend” Peterson Publishing is encouraging them to do terrible, terrible things. But like you two and Janaril (thanks for the support by the way) already said, comedy is a very subjective thing. I’m merely giving you my explanation as to why I did what I did. And I appreciate your guys’ feedback as well, different view points are always welcome and helpful.
Reffy: Ugh. That’s a question I very much need to answer. Not a big House fan. I foresee myself losing some Use of Topic points to make this story more me. Black market organ smugglers?

I've had many crappy/reasonable ideas >.< None of which I am happy with. Entered into my third rewrite last night and now I am also questioning that as well. Damn my doubt! Kinda wanting to avoid organ stealing >.> cliched

...Thrillers provide such a rich literary feast. There are all kinds. The legal thriller, spy thriller, action-adventure thriller, medical thriller, police thriller, romantic thriller, historical thriller, political thriller, religious thriller, high-tech thriller, military thriller. The list goes on and on, with new variations constantly being invented. In fact, this openness to expansion is one of the genre's most enduring characteristics. But what gives the variety of thrillers a common ground is the intensity of emotions they create, particularly those of apprehension and exhilaration, of excitement and breathlessness, all designed to generate that all-important thrill. By definition, if a thriller doesn't thrill, it's not doing its job. ”
—James Patterson, June 2006, "Introduction," Thriller

I rather like James Patterson as a writer. His style is very simple, but it flows wonderfully. It just reads with such ease.

I'm actually having a lot of trouble with this round. . . I'm a little surprised by myself here. I just can't find an idea I like, or anything that feels suitably dark without being horror.

Dark fantasy does sometimes (frequently?) include some aspects of horror. Pan's Labyrinth, for example. Yup, but not really the way I wanted to go. I dunno, maybe I'm just over thinking it. . . a lot of what I write tends to be dark anyhow. I'm sure I'll come up with something in the next 24 hours or so.

I'm actually having difficulties just sitting down and writing it. I have an idea, it's started... but I just want to write other things. Which isn't the greatest sign.

I did some brainstorming on the details on the commute home today. . . my idea has finally come to life. Gonna eat some pizza play some video games, and then write a mean story.
