Hopefully I will finish. Halfway there now, but it seriously needs editing. If not, oh well, I will post it some where else anyway and hopefully get a jump start on the new one. It's my fault for thinking way too long about it and.. going out with friends over the weekend.. heh.

I've got something -almost- ready to go. Won't be home til later to night to finish it up. I probably could have posted it yesterday; but it's not quite where I want it to be.

Don't plan to review anything until tomorrow morning.
So.
You should both be good.

Now you need another excuse! Since when are we allowed to re-write? Either way I posted what I posted. I wasn't making an excuse for my actions or my potentially terrible writing. If I failed then I failed. That is all.

Since when was it ever forbidden? As far as I know, your submission isn't official until it's scored. If you're not happy with it, you've still got time to fix it. If you believe that it's bad and you can't do any better; then that's sad.

It's not that I'm not happy with it, but I also believe that it will be as good as I can get it for now. I'll try to look over it and change what I feel needs changing if allowed, but other then that I am not touching it further.

Yeah, we have never really ever managed to clarify the no editing rule. And there has never been a rule about deleting your post and posting a new one (which I'm surprised never cropped up in discussions about the former).
Basically to stop people from entering due to a strict following of the rules would defeat AWR's purpose.

Sorry I got all emotional and low-confidence-y. I panicked and got really upset at knowing I missed the set-deadline. The last grade also kicked my ass a little >.> Being ill didn't help the situation. As someone who use to deal (privately mostly) with low confidence in writing. Just stop giving a fuck and roll with it. If you write something rubbish, shrug your shoulders and write something else. For two important reasons. Firstly, you end up enjoying writing more. You still want a clean final product but you're not worrying about it so much. You're enjoying the now. Secondly, I think you actually find yourself more receptive to feedback. You're not so defensive because you're not so emotionally invested. Which means that the end result is that you enjoy yourself more and you're improving as a faster rate.

Thanks Agro :] Feeling much better today. Yesterday was a bunch of things getting on top of me and missing a deadline was horrifying. So glad Kaez is letting late entries and the first round was shit for me. Enjoyed writing Workaday a lot more - which will be obvious when I post it. Kaez really won't like that one at all but it was fun, so there I do need to stop kicking myself so hard ... and its already been proven that I write fantastically -outside of a competition- because I'm not stressing. Can't wait to post the Workaday story but it needs a final edit. A last proper read over.

Maybe wait to post it until everyone else has posted their entries for the last round.
For the sake of thread of tidiness.

Anyone know when scores are going up? Now that you've all waited patiently for me to get my submisison in, it's only prudent that I rush the judge, right?
