I'm working on a fantasy piece where a princess runs away with her cousin/bodyguard and her bonded dragon friend. She runs when she learns she has a part in a prophecy that is supposed to start when she becomes the Queen. EDIT: Not much beyond that: It's really just a story about a scared kid who goes out with her two closest friends and they try to survive together on their own. I'm really drawing on  Skyrim for the scenery too, lots of mountains, and snow filled valleys. |

I plan on writing this month. It'll be about a fucked up alcoholic kid who runs away from home, and has wacky, drug-related misadventures with two people whose personalities I'm still working on. I look forward to a charming romp that definitely won't offend my worldview with tales of suicide and general futility.  . . .yeeeahhh. . . |

*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE* Thread of doom! DOOM! DOOOOOOM I tell you! Muahahahahahahaha ... no idea what I'm writing yet. May rewrite some of Bel-Gonows, possibly dump a whole load of words in Da'anvi Dragons, maybe the fairy idea I had a while back that I discussed with Main-Man-Zovo :] Possibly even some ridiculously short stories all stringed together in some weird way ...
I'm pumped!

Oh, an idea I was considering if people can find the time through the crazy month of November. Pep talks written by AWR members.
Because fuck the NaNo pep talks. They are consistently appalling.

Read the last three Chapters I've written for Phantoms. Very pleased with them. Good feeling ensured for the start of NaNo.

Thinkin' I might go ahead and do this NaNo thing. Probably not gonna do anything too complex though, might use it more like a writing exercise and just crank out simple stories and when one ends, just start another and see if I can hit the 50,000 word mark in a month.
You know, do some real generic stuff and just practice the ol' wordsmithin'.

Now, if we can get ten people to reach 50,000 words in November then that means that the forum would have written half a million words in a month. Which I think is a suitably enough epic target to try and achieve. |
