Have you tried any recovery techniques? I can't know what's wrong without seeing it, but there are things you can do to recover/repair some damaged files. Try this, for example: www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-ways-to-recover-a-corrupted-word-document/952

I am a strange mixture of anxious and excited energy, which is making it actually hard to sit down and write. But I've got 1,500 words written each day for the last two days, I keep this up and I'm done in four/five more days.
