I'm going to have to think about this one.
... kind of regretting giving AWR the freedom to pick a prompt now.

That's your own fault.

First draft done.
I've got 28 hours to edit it into some respectable form.

New topics are up! I expect much Skype chatter. Also: I feel like you could have taken this further. It kind of adapts back into the normal ebb and flow of the prose after, but it would’ve been cool if you kept literally kept the embodiment of cross examination in the structure of the words. Maybe you’re a bit hesitant to do that after the Jim ending failed to take hold, but this would’ve been interesting. The narrator seemingly trying to regain control of her own story and those one sentence questions constantly throwing her off. Again and again. Until it isn’t quite her story, but something else, some other bastardized version of the truth. This was my original idea actually (unsurprisingly since, y'know, doppelgangers), but I just felt that would have made the story longer and I didn't have time for it. Which is also why heist isn't a topic. I feel it's going to be bloody hard to write a short heist story and, for now, short is what I'm going to be writing so I haven't used it as a topic. Saying that, there's still a choose-your-own-prompt prompt so... you can still go for heist and really leave me on the ropes. For the rest of the prompts, I've just tried to keep them as broad as possible to give people a lot of freedom (also, some of them may be chosen intentionally to try and goad people into writing).

Hi.
Hi.
Hi there.
Someone.
Someone beat me.
Please.
Take the crown.
It lies heavy on the head.
(Also, I have no idea what stories I had planned for those prompts, so... might be a good time to get me while I'm lost.)
