This thread is for discussion of the King of the Recluse competition. This is where you air your grievances against judges, taunt each other, nurse your wounds, etc.

If an admin wouldn't mind putting the main thread in the Announcements, so everyone can see when a post has been made, that'd be sweet.

I've chosen Dark Fantasy as the topic. And I'm going to post my entry from the cup. Unchanged so that it hasn't got an unfair advantage of previously being judge.
But since it didn't have any competition, thought it would make a good first topic to get the ball rolling straight away.

Cool. I'll also be linking to each "Topic" post in the History to make it easy to find stuff.

Okay, so wait... does the king/queen have to post a topic? Or can they just wait for a challenger to post one? Presumably they could, or else a challenger could never initiate it? Does the challenger just have to post a topic, or do they have to -completely submit an entry- as well? Presumably there can only be one topic at once, so if a king/queen has been challenged and has one week, then no one can submit another challenge until that match is over?
^ Some stuff to be clarified.

A "Topic" needs to be posted by the King/Queen ASAP, though they do not have to post a entry right away.

A "Topic" needs to be posted by the King/Queen ASAP, though they do not have to post a entry right away. I -figure- I know the answer to most of those. But they're things that I didn't know for certain based on the official post. Figured when you get the time, you might want to edit in a few things that clarify these.

Like what needs to be clarified? It already says the King has to post the "Topic" which pretty much renders the rst of the questions moot. A Challenger cannot Challenge if there is no "Topic" and the Challenger doesn't get to set the "Topic" that's the King's job. Like, say in theory Agro didn't post a "Topic;" the competition would be put on pause until he did. Lets say he posted a "Topic" but no entry. . . then anyone is free to step up and meet the "Topic" with their own entry and force him to defend it in under a week.

I'm not sure how I misunderstood in the way I did. I was somehow under the impression that challengers could post topics. I'm not sure where I got that, but that single idea created every bit of my confusion.
