This pep talk didn't do tons for me. *shrug* I don't really -need- one right now, though, either. And Evern... no. You won't. I'd say there's a 1 in 3 chance that I hit 50k -tomorrow-. I'm in an ultra-pumped writing mood right now, and if this stays around 'till morning, tomorrow is going to be a longggggg day. ... <Starts writing> At 1K words every half hour, so 2K words an hour, I can finish this in... 4.5 hours. Easy. Writing: "And then he went to the door. And he opened the door. He turned the door handle. He pushed the door open. Behind the door was Bob. Bob was wearing a hat." ... Does not count as finished...

Guess I'll have to delete the last 30K words then, huh? In all seriousness, here's how it works: writeordie.drwicked.com/Helps get the words out, otherwise it would take me a really long time to get to this many words.

Yeah, I don't care for writeordie, personally.
If I'm writing and have to pause to consider a scene, I'm going to do just that. I work at my own pace -- and it seems to do just fine, so far.

I get -way- to distracted. Even with write or die, I'll click on this window and hit f5 then continue writing. I either need to turn off this monitor to write, or use that. If I had a better program, I would use it in a heartbeat.

I would still get the curiosity, and reconnect every minute or so and do the internet thing. Even I'm not so lazy as to think standing up, looking behind the tower, and plugging in the ethernet cord is that much of a hardship.

Yet you find some bothersome noise that writeordie will make to be adequate motivation when you could just as well -turn your speakers off-? It's not the noise, but the sides turning red. I wear headphones while I write, and I apparently have a fear of the unknown, so as long as I don't know what the noise is, I'll keep trying to keep the sides from going red. If I need to stop and think, I just call it short, and copypasta it into word while I think.

... so your entire motivational process is based on a color change.
Wow.

I just realized... I forgot about an entire level of my story... The international one...
There's supposed to be a war brewing, and I barely touched on it.
