Why are you rewriting? Did you let your "inner-editor" out of its cage? Also, the kid doing 4 novels has to have no life! Like seriously! ugh!

If you follow my blog, I kind of went, "Let's just wing it" with the plot. While a good idea to get ideas stirring, I don't think I handled it properly. New, cool idea. Will start in the AM.

Yeah, after a bit of thought about it. The immortal story just feels more geared toward one of the little projects for the stories board.
Tomorrow, or sometime before turn-in, I'm going to get to work on one that is an old plot but a good one. Dragons and humans.

Yah - I saw the blog. Didn't realize it was a complete start over! Welp! All I can say is go where the story takes you! I'm still following my plot right now but I know its probably going to change a little as the story gets life

Alrighty guys. Need your help!
Having a weak/scared moment. This may seem stupid to ya'll but I could do with a pat on the back or some thing >.>
I just reached 4k and I just realized ... I've never written anything over 5k - which is now only a few hundred away now (excluding RP entries which have been over 5k but only a few times) That is my point of no return. 5k. No turning back. Now or never. Go with it or go home. It is the point when the hobbits step over the boundary to the outside World, passed the farm. It is outside of my comfort circle.
So now I'm starting to worry about reaching 6k, 10k, 20 - well you know the deal. What if I cannot make it? I'm scared to start this journey. This is massive. It seems stupid to be scared of going over a certain number - but I am!
HELP!
What if I write this massive amount and never want to go back to writing small things? What if this changes me, as a writer? *gulp*

Because, while it may be more fun to write big things, it is always going to be easier to write little things, and, as I'm now discovering, it is still fun to write about something, as long as you're interested in it. In summary, you'll be fine, go back to writing!

On another note... I just spent 271 words describing the main character's love interest, with a smattering of female culture of my universe...
On the page I'm typing that on, that's nearly a page...

<Turns to her muse: mini-tootsie-pops>
Thankies, Evern. Still scared, a little, but guess I'm going to continue. Want to finish the story. Want people to enjoy it - even if those people are just my friends.
Terribly scary when you look at the stats and see those bars and realize how much is ahead, then realize your "point-of-no-return" is scheduled for tomorrow >.<

Terribly scary when you look at the stats and see those bars and realize how much is ahead, then realize your "point-of-no-return" is scheduled for tomorrow >.< XD As for me, I've already written 20k words in a single story before. It was lazy, and took me most of a year. No, I will not share it with you because it was my first attempt at writing anything longer than an RP post. So mine's a little sooner than halfway, and I shall plough through it without even realizing that I've passed it until I have. My fear is currently wednesdays, when I have three classes spread at all the meal times. I don't get to be home between the first two, and I'm home for a mere 3 hours before I leave for the last one. <Shudder> But then I have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off, not to mention a mere hour and a half on Tuesday and Thursday. XD

Hehe. Lucky you with the 20k. By then you will be fully into your plot and feeling confident Tough luck on the Wednesdays though :S Maybe you'll be able to get a bit done in the 3 hours *fingers crossed* Or do extra the day before. I'm doing extra each day to avoid the rush later (or at least that's the plan, once I get over the 5k wimp feelings)

What if this changes me, as a writer? *gulp* Aww, Weffy, don't be scare-red! *huggles Reffy* Don't famous novelist have short stories as well? I think it's great that a writer can produce both short and long written works. It just shows the versatility of the author. Maybe you'll find that you have a burning passion for novel writing. However, I doubt writing 50k words is going to "ruin you" for writing anything shorter. Why not enjoy the fun in writing both? ^_^ I actually enjoy writing (or, I should say, "trying" to write) novels. I'm such a sucker for a good plot twist and good character development coupled with a wonderfully in-depth story. However, RP and short stories are my secret passion. Can't get enough of 'em. I don't really see much of a difference though. Writing is writing; as long as I'm having fun and enjoying myself, it doesn't matter -what- I'm writing or how long/short it is. Trust me, if you think about all the planning and effort that goes into writing longer pieces, chances are, you'll be -more- than grateful to go back to writing smaller things just to get a break! And if you change as a writer, it's not necessarily a bad thing. I think writer's are always evolving, perfecting and experimenting until they find their own "style" that they are comfortable with. So think of it as growth, instead of just change. You're growing as a writer, and if you want to see what the fruits of your hard labor are in the end, then don't hinder or restrain yourself! Because... um... fruits of labor are yummy and delicious! *nodnod*

Aaaaaaaw! Thankies Lilam *hands over mini-Tootsie-pop-muse* Just feel so stupid about being scared but at the same time I'm scared about crossing that invisible mark in the sand. 5k. I'm a mere 2 paragraphs away. 4441 currently. Suppose its probably alright if I grow and change
