Atylgion
Major cities: Arcis

Crime and Law: Crime is small in the capital Arcis, though the capital of crime is Castopur, with a single organized crime hub. The dominant sex in Atylgion is female, as opposed to the joint rule of the Republic, or the more traditional male rule of the rest of the world.
Professions: Fisher, trader, vendor, carpenter, shipwright, miner.
Trade: Much of the trade out of Atylgion is in things that can be gotten from the ocean, fish, whale oil, and the like. These items, in great abundance in the oceans of the nation, are traded for lumber.

Events: The people of Atylgion recognize the births of all the gods as holidays, as well as that of their queen.
Education: The people of Atylgion are as educated as they can be in their jungles, not the scientific hub of the Republic; they mostly revolve around ship-building and sailing.
Languages: Atylgionian, Common
Class: The nobles of Arcis are the highest class aside from the Queen herself, and the middle class is just below them. The poor are most often left to fend for themselves in the jungle.
Population: Around 40,000
Resources: The most abundant resources come from the ocean or the mountains. Very little of the jungle wood is usable for lumber, and there are too many poisonous creatures in the mainland half to make that viable.
Wildlife: The northern reaches of Atylgion are infested with poisonous creatures, ranging from frogs to quick moving plant life.
Climate: The northern half is a tropical jungle, while the southern island is a tropical paradise.
Mounts and Pets: The people of Engona have learned to capture and train some of the more mobile creatures, this craft traveled down to Castopur, and then these were shipped to Arcis. Giant Geckos serve as the primary mount or workhorse of the nation.
Technology: Atylgion is home to the foremost in ship building and sailing, as well as jungle warfare.
Subcultures: None.
Military: The primary focus for Atylgion is its navy, as massive fleets are built with the best ship wrights in Ariea.
Weapons and armor: The weapons of the people range from ballistae that they managed to mount on their ships, to the traditional spear and leather armor of the jungle army.
Timeline: Atylgion was the second nation to be founded from the Empire, a woman; Atylgion Mavai, and her sister, Arcis, gathered as many followers as they could and headed south, into the jungles. At first, when a full fourth of their followers fell to the jungle, they thought it wouldn’t be possible to escape the Empire, and another fourth of their followers turned back, probably dying on the way. Within a month the remaining few thousand found the coast, and founded Castopur, named for the girl’s dead father, and the only area in the country named for a male entity.
There they set to building ships, to get to the island they saw across the sea. After several years, a bustling town was in place, and some of their followers did not wish to leave their new ideal existence, feeling they were safe enough there. Atylgion understood this, and those who would follow her would found a new city on the island should it be suitable. It was, and the kingdom of Atylgion grew.
Several generations later, the town of Engone was founded, named for the current queen. This town would see the worst and only damage to the nation from the recent war. But they survived, and pressed on, and are now on the verge of being considered a city.
Relations: Atylgion’s relation with the Empire and the Republic is cordial, belying tensions that could erupt without swift action from anyone, as the current Queen feels that both nations are suppressing their people.
Homes: Homes in Atylgion are usually built on stilts, except for Arcis, which follows the more traditional home architecture.
Religion: The current Queen has not defined a set religion, though worship of the Sun God is most common.
Architecture: The architecture of the northern half is built with what little lumber was available in the jungle, usually resulting in homes on stilts, and wooden walkways over the marshy ground to wherever.
Clothing: The people of Atylgion dress in little covering, only enough to keep them protected from the pleasant elements.
Arts: The primary art of Atylgion is in ship-building and naming.
Entertainment: For entertainment, the people watch and bet on ship racing, sailing ships from Castopur to Arcis and back.
