Weapons and armor: Cloth, and daggers, who wants to walk around a desert carrying thirty plus pounds of heat conductive metal?
Timeline: The Skalder Kingdom was founded by the greatest thief ever to live in the southern continent, Aldaron Skalder back during the Great War. He was tried and found guilty by the major nation of the time, The Eriholt Empire, now reduced to the eastern coast of the continent, by sheer luck he found the desert’s single oasis. Farther exploration and mapping led him to several of the Ancient Ruins that dot the desert. These he left unmapped, hoping to discover a way to exploit his discovery. He did, gathering up several hundred followers to build a city at the Oasis. They then set guards around the ruins, two of these developed into the towns; Wildshade and Southpass, while the rest have no sturdy ground to build such structures on. No researcher has yet found enough funds to purchase passage through the desert to these sites.
Relations: The other nations barely acknowledge the Kingdom’s existence, let alone any sovereignty.
Homes: The homes are build out of mud bricks, giving them the look and color of the ground they are built upon.
Religion: The only known religious town is Southpass, which worships all the gods, but the Sun most heavily.
Architecture: Mud brick huts dominate the architecture, rare is the building that ascends to the second story.
Clothing: The Skalderian men and women both dress comfortably for the desert, covering as much skin as possible to keep away from the burning sun.
Arts: The art of thievery is the only known art in the Kingdom.
Entertainment: The stoning of prisoners is the odd entertainment that the guard takes place in.
Next... The biggest country on the friggin map. Many towns...
