Both of them were previously -two- landmasses that got slammed together in a great cataclysmic event. So it's supposed to look a little 'hatchet'd'. You know, if you look at it from the right angle, 'slammed' is definitely the correct word. LULZ! I see it on the one on the right.

When they got smashed, -each- of the land masses collided into -a second-. So there are two pairs of two collided continents.
