I didn't think Terra was a DLC. I'm pretty sure it's in the game from the start. It's just not one of the default map types. You have to hit 'advanced' and then change the map from that screen. That's where all the maps are. I'm pretty sure it's not available on Multiplayer, though. I don't think that Kwan exactly said that it was.

Oh, also, I've got my Hawaii map working as well... Actualy, it wasn't broken, I was being stupid.
It's basically just a landmass with resources plopped down at random, but it's playable.

Hmm... so, might be time to try the next difficulty level up after this playthrough.

I don't know, I haven't played it. The UU is the Wonderbolts, though, presumably a replacement for Great War-era fighters.

So I've learned I suck at building any kind of effective military. I have great infrastructure and a great economy, and am quite happy to be a small, peaceful nation filled with wonders, but with Rome to my east and Russia to my south that doesn't look possible.

Play defensive. You actually don't need a huge standing army to defend you territory. Usually one garrisoned unit per city (something with a ranged attack like archers or artillery) is good with a few wandering infantry/cavalry; and that might even be more than you need depending on terrain (never underestimate terrain) and who is attacking you. Just make sure you've got lots of roads so you can move from place to place within your territory quickly. That way, if they attack, you can quickly ungarrison and move to the point of conflict, fight them off, then go back home. Then just pick off their units strategicly. Don't worry too much about their ranged units, take out their melee fighters. Ranged units can pound on your city walls all day, but they can't capture. Without melee support they're no -real- threat. So, yeah, you don't need a huge army. Just one build-cycle per city, then keep it upgraded.

Oh I'm pretty good at just being defensive, until I started a game as Egypt surrounded by barbarians and the most aggressive Rome I've ever seen.
I wasn't prepared.

I am so obsessed with making money that I have bought entire armies in my Arabian games.
