The 10,000 Club Continuing the 10k Club because honestly it really helped me set aside time to write and continue writing …
The official threshold target is only 5,000 words! 5,000 words has two things going for it: if you want to hit the target, you're not going to need to have a free month. 5,000 words can be done over a week if you're really busy. 5,000 words is, simply, manageable. However, it is still substantial. If you write 5,000 words for every month, you end up with 60,000 words at the end of 2017, which is a short novel.
There is also a second, more aspirational target of 10,000 words. This is the bigger target to try and keep people writing throughout the month.
In terms of what contributes toward the word count: "short stories, plays, scripts, novels, etc." And that is reviews. Reviews for AWR can also be used when counting your words for the month.
So yes … Also, do me a favour of totalling your own amounts if you want it recorded! Thanks x

Totally didn't hit the 5k in January but actually I think is slightly healthier that I didn't. I was working on something but it might be scrapped? *Ponders*
