Today marks the start of the newest competition to be brought to our dead, obsolete online discussion board forum. I am Sekot, your humble judge and host, and you all are the unfortunate individuals who have to deal with my off-the-wall, downright weird and contrarian reviews. To ease this a bit, I have taken into considerations your wants and desires for this rendition of the Cup and have decided to indulge you in your wildest fantasies. Therefore, we have a THEME!
Our theme is:
Interconnectedness
It just rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it? So succulent a word, bathing your tongue in verbal juices, an umami of consonants. Basically, each prompt will involve you building on the story you originally started with; so please, choose wisely. The way this will work will follow:
There will be 3 rounds in the Group Stage. Since we have an odd number (you know who you are, you looked at this and thought "Oh this might be fun" but procrastinated because you can't make a good decision to save your life) there will be two groups. One with 3 members and one with 4. Per request, Team Destiny's Child will be a battle royale between the Admins! Team ABBA will be the other 4.
Each round will, for now, last one week. I think this is an appropriate amount of time for you to figure out your shit and write something down. If all get it in before the deadline, with days to spare, then I will consider reducing this time allotted for future rounds. If we consistently fail to meet the deadline, then I will still reduce the date and you will be shit out of luck. I want to keep this moving and I will not keep those who want to write waiting on you. They should wait on me. Cause I'm king of this bitch.
If you win the round, you will receive two points. If you are runner up, you will receive one point. The top two after three rounds for each team will move on to the semi final round. This will be a four people melee with only one round. The top two will move on to the final. This competition is designed to be front loaded with most of the writing as that seems to be the time where your interest tends to hold. Hopefully we have no drop outs, as I will never forgive you.
