Note on times: All times are in US-EST, and the common deadline will be 3am EST. That's 2am CST, 1am MST, 12am PST, 9pm New Zealand, and 8am GMT. It's also 10pm on -the day prior- for Hawaii.
December 13 - December 20
Twelve will write the entries for the first round. There will be three matches of four writers each. Introductions will be sent out on December 13 at 3am EST, and the deadline will close at 3am EST on December 20. All entries must be received by that time. PM entries to the organiser, do -not- post them.
December 21 - December 28
Reviews will be open from December 21 at 3am EST to December 28 at 3am EST. To vote for stories, you will send one PM to the organiser, containing all reviews and votes you are making for this round, any time you have finished reviewing (you don't have to review them all, if you don't want to) and before December 25 at 3am EST.
Note on reviews and votes: You must review a story to vote for it. You cannot vote for your own match. Votes are to be made in a ranking manner. You rank all the stories, from first to bottom.
December 28
At 3am on December 28, voting will close. During that day the entries and reviews will all be posted by the organiser in their corresponding threads. In the event of a tie, a psychic snail will make the conclusive vote. If one is unavailable, a judgement call will be made by the organiser as the tiebreaker.
December 28 - January 5
The winners of the first three matches get a rest week. Round two begins when introductions are PM'd to the remaining nine writers at 3am EST on December 28. Writing will take place through to January 5 at 3am EST. PM entries to the organiser, do -not- post them.
January 6 - January 8
Reviews will be open from January 6 at 3am EST to January 8 at 3am EST. Gather all reviews and votes for entries from this round and PM them to the organiser.
January 8
At 3am EST on January 8, voting will close. Entries and reviews will be posted that day.
January 9 - January 16
The semi-finals begins when introductions are PM'd to the remaining six writers at 3am EST on January 9. Writing will take place through to January 16 at 3am EST. PM entries to the organisers, do -not- post them.
January 17 - January 19
Reviews will be open from January 17 at 3am EST to January 19 at 3am EST. Gather all reviews and votes for entries from this round and PM them to the organiser.
January 19
At 3am EST on January 19, voting will close. Entries and reviews will be posted that day.
January 20 - January 27
Round four The championship THUNDERDOME!!! begins on January 20 at 3am EST. Introductions will be PM'd to the remaining three writers. Writing will take place through to January 27 at 3am EST. PM entries to the organiser, do -not- post them.
January 28 - January 30
Reviewing for the championship begins on January 28 at 3am EST and ends on January 30 at 3am EST. Gather all reviews and votes for entries from this round and PM them to the organiser.
January 30
After January 30 at 3am EST, the organiser will gather the reviews and post them in the thread, along with the announcement of the winner of the tournament by name. From then on, you may (entirely optionally) go back to any entries you made and label them as your own.
There will be an Inklings the following weekend to celebrate a hopefully successful competition.
