By the way, I remind everyone that there's still two weeks till this competition really starts. And there's a King of the Hill prompt awaiting a challenger.

Freakin' Rural Fantasy, though. It's been bugging me, James, I'm trying to conjure up a decent story but it hasn't felt right yet.

I thought it was going to be a really cool topic, but I've been struggling with it too. I had this great idea about the end of the world and the only place still alive was a farm that never aged, holding all of its inhabitants at the same age. And the protagonist and antagonist was going to be different faces of "Mother Earth". But in the end, I found that the idea wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. Then I had this plan of a city banker coming to investigate a magical farm that's up for sale as an investment property, in a humourous style. I got a great line of comparing vulture capitalism to magic, but nothing else. I have now settled on an idea which I think is reasonably good and workable though. I'm probably 60% of the way through.

I started doing this for fun, and this is as far as I got for Kaez' team before I got bored. Should I keep going?

If you guys come up with a Latin motto I can probably put it on some kind of scroll underneath.

In before he's secretly Blu. Can't be. He hasn't made an allusion to 1984 yet.
