My little sister does, or has at least. I've thought about it myself.

My little sister does, or has at least. I've thought about it myself. She write? Or just read? I'm curious how it works as far as hosting stories and exposure. A dude recommended it to me today, but he's already published and fairly well established so he's not using it himself.

Actually, thanks for digging that up. Looks like both folks had very different experiences. I'm sort of in a place where... Why the hell not, right? I didn't realize the user base was so large, and I like that it's more participation-based than Goodreads. Looks like, regardless I try to re-home things, I'm going to have to come up with some cover art. Blegh. Edit: Also, yeah, ask you sister. I'm interested in her experience as well as what she's written and how it was received.

I did just sign up for it after reading for those reviews but I don't know if I'll commit to it. We shall see.

I've discovered over the past twelve months that I'm super conservative about the writing/publishing industry. I just really want to do it the old fashioned way and that's not viable for most people anymore.
Sad.

Whole lot of puppies on the Hugo nominee lists, but no John C. Wright.
How could the finest writer of his generation not be nominated?

Blame the femi-nazis and the pro-choicers, James. They can't recognize a good, noble Christian pulpy sci-fi adventure that only our generation's finest could make.

I realize that this is a stretch, but I thought after Zovo's suggestion that I should go forth and make this silly choice. Anyone want to see a memo to the "Chicago Bureau of Oversight" regarding non-fatal police tactics? I'd like you guys and gals to nitpick it if you have time today. I'll be working on it more tomorrow, but today is swamped with stuff. White Paper - Recalculations.docx (87.76 KB)

Yeah sorry I was out most of the day. I'm not the best at academic writing, so I didn't notice any glaring formatting issues. Info checks up, but it might help to clarify that some of the non lethal weapons you listed are technically less lethal(bean bag shells and rubber bullets can actually still kill if shot in the right spot at the right distance.) but if you don't need to be that specific then no reason. It might help to also to at least clarify which four incidents you're talking about in section 2(second paragraph, when you mention your colleague's interview with Chuy.) Other than that, it looks good. I didn't notice any glaring spelling or grammar issues. Good work.

As for the incidents, I've mulled it a little to say a number of or many, I can't remember which, but in any case, I was dinged for stating what they were in the initial drafts by my professor. Thanks man. Makes me feel better about turning it in tonight knowing that it looks good.
