Man, I really have no idea who's going to get the top two spots in Group B. With Pete being busy, some people not strictly sticking to the topic, some good stories and a build up of matches, I'm lost.
Meanwhile, unless Taed springs into life, Group A is just going to come down to the showdown between Injin and Dragon to see who joins Ink, I suspect.

I'm ... basically dropped out. I feel really shitty about it, but I've just drawn a total blank for every round, and rather than forcing it I'm pretty much just working on my novel instead.

Yeah, I've just got so much to do.
I haven't even been able to casually check AWR much let alone read stories.
I've got to given 3 presentations at 3 different conferences in the next couple of weeks. First one is coming up real fast (10 days now) and I've -barely- begun to work on it at all. The one following it requires fairly in-depth research that I'm only half-way through.
So, y'know, "real world" important shit that just has to come first.
Even if this competition ends up stagnating completely, I -will- be reviewing every story written for it before I do any other writing or reviewing on AWR.

What about tapping Taed in as a judge? Only if you're not busy (and seriously, in no way feel pressure to do so). But it sounds like Pete's going to be pretty busy for a while and if you've dropped out, it wouldn't cause any real problems. |
