Gotta be careful with any of the mistaken history stuff though. It really needs to be written in such a way that it's evident it's the characters who are ill-informed, and not the writer.

I think it would be interesting if occasionally there is one really obscure quote that is used that is actually accurate as per who said it.

Yeah, just out of the blue someone get's it right. I like that. It'd be great that when that happens and it's accurately said, everyone else instantly tells that person their wrong and tries to cite it differently.
