Oh, so you're now saying that Allya and Reffy might make it to the final but they definitely won't win.
Male chauvinism. Pure male chauvinism.

I did have a poppyseed muffin for lunch. . . ... well, this has taken an unexpected turn into the suspicious.

... well, this has taken an unexpected turn into the suspicious. Indeed. I suppose the next step is some sort of covert mission into Afghanistan to see if you're unknowingly part of a smuggling poppy gang. But I'm kind of busy at the moment.

So, have Thunderdome invites gone out yet? Thought we were gonna get to see the openning folks would be working with.

First person present tense. There's been a fair few of those. And again, something that lends itself to sci-fi. If Taed is still in the competition, he's got to be fancying his chances now.

Anything written in the present tense always reads awkward to me.
I feel like writing is present tense is something you shouldn't be able to sustain. Because the present is -now-; not two pages ago, and not a chapter for now, but right now; for like a sentence.
Like, you could write a whole story in past tense and end in the present tense. . . Or start in the present tense and write the rest in future tense. . . but being in the present tense the whole time just feels strange.
Or start in past tense, work up to a couple paragraphs in present tense, then complete the story in future tense. Actually, that sounds like a fun idea; I'll have to remember to try that.
