There are things -already- happening which make you ask questions; questions that have to have answers.

Yep and there is a specific style to each. It would be jarring for the writer to then switch the style after such a strong beginning. This should make the participants write in a way that is perhaps slightly different than what they're used to. Could provide some interesting results.
