Exotic, you say? Hmm...
Orcs were supposed to be medeval japanese themed.
Suun-Dall could be based on Persian or Russian, can't decide. I'm looking for elements of both.
Humans, as I said, are roman architecture with jewish lifestyles when they had their kingdom there.
Dwarves are slave drivers. Looking to have African kingdom influences.
Elves were stated.
Goblins I'm starting to think of Apache society for that real tribal system.
Undead... maybe old spanish?
Ogres, definately eskimo.
Dragons, thinking of old Indian. The real indians, not american indians. Still Queendom, because I've only seen that used once.
Trolls, mongolian. Hands down.
Minotaur, leaning toward polynesian/austrailian. Tikis, etc.
Syrdak (lizard-men name for themselves) are going to have buddhist and christian monk orders serve as basis.
If theres any reccomendations, again, throw 'em up.
Just for the record, I never knew your story existed before I starting making this. Whenever yours was made, I don't know. I started this in May. This site was not known or availible to me then, so I didn't know about your plans.

If it weren't for Project Lareus and this, my own world would be up. But, looks like someone beat me. Of course, I eventually will put mine up, after I finish a major overhaul... Which will require me to rewrite half of it.
I like your ideas for this. We don't see much eastern inspired culture other than japan/china in things like this, and I have never seen anything polynesian/american native inspired.

Rough map here. Very, very rough. But you get the idea. artpad.art.com/gallery/?k6h57gs3q8A few changes made as well. Some trivial, some vital. -Suun-Dall are now "Zahrak". Sounds more menacing, as well as befitting their society which is based on kin, city-states, etc. Babylonian influences, including ziggurats and other structures. More on Thykrua as it arises. -Trolls are no longer civilised, and more of a universal look. They are immense, almost as big as giants, and scaled. Big dinner plate scales. Different colours, ranging form red to blue to purple. More on this as it arises. -New race! The Zirsmun. Based on werewolves somewhat, lacking the infectious bite. Popular as mercenaries and gang 'muscle' as their near lack of fatigue and speed is admirable. More on this as it arises. -New race! The liches control the undead with magic puppetry, essentialy animation with magic rather than wrenching the soul from the afterlife and all that. (My own personal feelings on the matter are: once you die, no one should be the judge what happens to you but your god) They live in a society not unlike a series of universities, led by a "dean" called The Bridge. He is in the afterlife, but here simultaneously. Hence the name. -Ogres are now BLUE. Deep ocean blue. No more grey. -Orcs are now more of a viking people. Not random raiders, but loving war, having Scandinavian influences, etc. More on this as it arises. -Elves are now what every Blood Elf rogue roleplays. The society is run by all the 'families', which essentialy deal with each other through exchange of political power, money, muscle and the like. Each elf joins and leaves a family as he pleases, just he better make sure he doesn't do it TOO often... Elves, now, are basically thugs. -There are still Alliances and such, but not as concrete. The Dark Collective and Holy Empire, for all intents and purposes, have been scrapped. More or less, however, the allegiances still exist. -Not much else has changed, really. Keep commenting! Please sir! I want some more!

Did you steal my mind or something? Your Elves are like mine! Thugs! My elves care nothing for anyone who doesn't beleive what they do, they are theocratic and launch 'crusades' against innocent nations, they follow a totalitarian organization run by the Dragons, and eat any propaganda thrown at them.
Now that I look back on it, our elves are pretty different. But have yours exterminated two entire species, and driven two more to the brink of extinction? Mine have...
Great, now I'm sounding competitive.

Dude, don't worry about it.
My elves have NO racial accomplishments other than having the highest crime rate of any nation. At one time, they were the richest, but that's about it.
The whole race is basically the Russian Mob. They'll be killing each other's gangs off, but they'll also kill anyone who's "bad for business".
But no. No theocracy, no extermination, nothing fancy like that. They are a drab, poor, violent and specifically so to be open for alotta RP room.
As stated before, NO racial accomplishments. Unless you count highest crime rate.
Thanks for the input.

Not like warcraft aliens (demons, etc.), but like alien aliens. The world was created by an alien species, the world is curently being fought over by two alien species, and half my writing about it revolves around the aliens. Sci-Fi+Fantasy=Win.

That is very innovative, I admire it. Check out the band Ayreon. The concept to their rock opera's is pretty interesting, I think you'd like it. Aliens in the far far future lost their emotions through tech and all that, they get 8 humans (Roman, Indian, Egyptian, Barbarian, Knight, Hippie, Futureman and Highlander) to work together as a sort of social experiment to see their reactions and learn emotions. (Into the Electric Castle, 1998). Just an example. But didn't Lovecraft do something like aliens+fantasy as well? Like, the whole cosmic supergods thing? Well, who cares. I like that idea. Going to my cousins Birthday now Be back ASAP More details on awritersrecluse.proboards103.com/index.cgi?board=s&action=display&thread=330
