I'm leaning toward red for the background. The color for the god is still in the works. Right now green has the higher amount of contrast, so I'm working with that.

I think you definitely need to add more contrast or shading or whatever to the edges of the tears. Especially the big one on his chest. The thing I liked most about the black and white sketches was the sharpness of those edges. They don't stand out as much in the coloured version.

I just was putting down color to see how it looked. I'm leaning toward making the color greyish-green.

So... I lied.

I tried using a little blue in with my green and found I liked the blue better than the green.

Added more contrast as well. Looking pretty nice so far. Got to work on those hands for the tearing portion.

Something I notice about the parts where the image is torn is the soft-glow of it. Maybe you could contrast that with a sharper or more gritty coloured part.

I don't really like his left hand. It looks kind of awkward to me. Especially that brighter patch in the top-left of the hand.

The rest is looking awesome, though. That last pass on the face made it really sharp.

That hand I worked on for hours the other day and couldn't get it to look right. Seriously, it made me feel sick every time I looked at it.

I'll change it. Don't worry about that. My brain just decided to focus on everything else first and save that thing for later.
