Is this a kinda 'first-come-first-served' type thing? As in if someone says they'll do it but someone else beats them there it's tough? Yup.

So...
I'm going to say (as long as Zovo doesn't mind, technically being his competition) that I'm going to give till the end of the week for someone to say "WAIT! I'm writing something for this with Spy Fiction as the topic!".
If Sunday ends with no one saying they're writing, I'll pick a new topic and try and jolt this thing back into life.

Right, so I'm going to do a little consultation so we don't end up in the same spot. I kind of want to have a fantasy-esque topic because I want to get some stories written for the Fantasy Writing Contest. However, that is this month's assignment. So will people prefer not to have a double-up on fantasy as the topic?
And if so, what about Mystery as a topic?

Hmm I don't know about mysteries. I don't think I've ever written a mystery. I'm not sure I even know how.

I haven't even picked the topic yet because no one offered any opinions on fantasy as a topic... I'll probably pick a fantasy because, screw it, I want to write some fantasy for this contest.
By the end of today, I'll put up a genre.

Right, new genre is up. Urban Fantasy. Yep, not the most original topic but I want to crank out one Urban Fantasy, one High Fantasy and one Weird Fiction Fantasy for this Fantasy Writing Contest.

How come you never see "Rural Fantasy." Contemporary fantasy, on a farm. With like a cursed combine. . . or a magic barn that houses another world. . .

..... Stop having awesome ideas! It makes killing you even harder. Right after I wrote that I got an idea for a story about a tribe of very small people who are plagued by a monster that happens to be a rooster. It'd be a pretty traditional dragon-slayer story, 'cept with a chicken.

Lots of my better stories are based on shitty ideas.

Think about the magical rooster until the lights all go out, little one."

"Diminutive man has to travel cross country to the peak of a volcano to destroy magical jewelry. Is pursued by emaciated schizophrenic with a speech impediment."
