3. Humanity:
Political power: Medium
Military power: High-unknown
Government name: Command
Government type: Military Oligarchy
Details: On the surface humanity looks to be a very minor power in the world, despite their vast holdings. Many of the populace survive by their own means and rarely see any real government authority. This has made most of the human territory infamous for crime and other darker activities. In reality Command does keep things from flowing over but prefer not to interfere in the general order of things unless they feel that they are being threatened. In such cases Command acts quickly and brutally. Those who offend Command often wind up missing or their bodies are mysteriously displayed in a hideous public spectacle.
Strangely, most humans seem not to mind this setup. This can be attributed to the fact that most illicit activity is focused in the cities and that since Command doesn't take notice of most small crimes it is more or less equal opportunity. The large exception to this is Command City, which is closed to all but government officials and the occasional visitor. Command City is the place of power in the human lands and as such the last place anyone not having business there will wish to tread.
Humans are in no way magically adept and rely totally on their technology which is among the best in the known world. This has had the effect of some of Command's military being of other races but this is rare. Such non-human military personnel are usually of very high rank and only deployed on special assignments. Regardless, what humans lack in magic and other such abilities they make up for with their technology. Mass produced weapons and armor as well as being able to construct outposts at breakneck pace keeps the human war machine very competitive.
Currently Command and humanity have put forward a lot of effort at the Cerulean Line. What they found and for what purpose they have fortified the area however is a closely guarded secret. Interlopers are killed on sight. Rumors range from there being a new civilization to some kind of technological wonder Command is hiding but nobody besides Command knows for sure.

4. Chykarians:
Political power: Low
Military power: Low
Ruler's Title: Prophet of Moon and Star
Government Type: Theocracy
Physical appearance (in general): Six to Eight feet tall, thin, golden colored skin, two blue eyes, no exterior ears, bird like wings attached below the shoulders on the backside. No sensory organ of smell. Bipedal, reverse jointed legs.
Details: Beyond all else in Chykarian society is faith. From cradle to grave a Chykarian will learn about and implement the teachings of their goddess Liliphora. This is followed to such an extent that communicating with other races not knowing anything of Chykarian culture is extremely difficult.
According to their faith, at the forming of the world Liliphora created the Chykarians and the skies upon which they travel. There are also many sacred texts said to be passed directly from the goddess to her chosen people with rules on everything from conduct to dress. Yet for all their fervor those who have trouble accepting the "truth" are not punished horribly or tortured until they change their ways. Rather dissenters are encouraged to walk among the other races to see if their ways of life appeal more to this individual. If so then they are to live among this race for the rest of their lives. Most of the time the result is that the dissenter returns home and accepts his or her own culture. However there are never any hard feelings toward those who do not return, their names are stricken from all records instead.
Chykarians make their homes upon mountaintops and cliffsides, often making small temples to their goddess or the skies inside. The largest of these temples is the Temple of Liliphora which also serves as the seat of power to their highest priest. The prophet of moon and star. The belief among Chykarians is that Liliphora makes her home among the moon and stars in the "highest sky." Therefore both the prophet of such as well as the moon and stars themselves are regarded with highest respect.
Standard Chykarian dress are a special type of robe imbued with the air magics of their people in order to keep the clothes from interfering with flight. The colors of these robes varies by gender, age, marital status and profession. The combinations are numerous enough to make listing them not worth the effort as one can ascertain such things by looking and/or asking.
Culturally Chykarians are detached from the other races and their ambitions. In effect this means that they have little sway over other peoples but also means there is little if any conflict. Do not assume that the Chykarian race is not courteous, this is a large mistake. However detached they are from others they are never rude and are usually quite pleasant to others of their own kind as well as outsiders.
As far as their faith concerns death. Chykarians believe that when they die their spirits become one with the sky, in essence becoming the power of the air based magics given to them by Liliphora. Magically Chykarians are masters of air magic but are very modest about it's use. It is never used for superfluous purposes that can easily be achieved conventionally, or war unless in defense. Again, such things are dictated by religion.
