By start, I also mean that's exactly when the zombies would, uh...outbreak. They wouldn't necessarily be right outside, they'd just be in the city somewhere and spreading quickly. Since I feel I was being too vague, I'm extending it for 10 minutes so you guys can ask questions. What kind of zombies are we talking about? |

Wait until the news gets to you, spend the time gathering supplies, -then- get in the car? By that time everybody in the city is trying to leave at the same time. Mayhem. |

Most slow moving, some fast (but fast ones being rare) only infectious through bites or open wounds, incredibly basic. Certain animals can also be infected, ie dogs and other mammals. Birds immune, reptiles immune, fish vulnerable (so we can have ZOMBIE SHARKS). |

Car we start off with a car and maybe what ever we have in it, house we have everything we own and most likely our car as well.
