The Ichuk Front, like Gilaan, was relatively inactive save the Century War and the eventual brief reopening of conflict between the two in 323 AR. Since 389, The Ichuk Front has been officially disbanded. Still, with only eleven years since they've had an active military, there are still many trained soldiers amongst Ichuk and many others learning the trade from fathers and friends.
When the military did exist, as of 389 AR, it was as follows:
Core Troops
Spearmen -- Heavily camouflaged and highly trained spearmen made up the core infantry. The spears were strong, thin, and fast and used in both javelin maneuvers and in direct combat.
Archers -- The longbow was utilized more effectively by the men and women in Ichuk than anywhere else, most scholars agree. The skill with the bow, complimented by their strong camouflage made any battlefield a deathtrap for opposing armies.
Riders -- The Riders of Ichuk were a strong field cavalry, but rarely seen in the forest battles (where much of the fighting took place in the Century War).
Additional Troops
Outriders -- Outriders were specialized horseback archers who were given the fasted horses of the Ichuk plains. They were known for absolute speed and sheer accuracy with their bows, making them one of the most elusive and deadly combatants in the Front.
Woodguard -- The Woodguard were, and still are, an odd bunch. They live exclusively in the forests of Ichuk, making their living off of the natural resources, and more often than not, living underground or in the trees. They have commune strongly with nature and, during the Century War, used their knowledge of the wilderness to camouflage the entire Ichuk army and defend their homeland (via bows and spears).
Druids -- Druids weren't officially a part of the Ichuk Front and weren't, as recorded in any history book, participants in any major battle. Still, many suggest they played their role: using their abilities to guide the Gilaan Militia to certain barricades and prevent them from entering certain areas. The validity of the claim is disputed.
Misc. Defense
Scouts -- Scouts are trained rogues of Ichuk who successfully assassinated many high-scale targets of the Gilaan Militia.
Hunters -- Hunters were generally archers (sometimes spearmen) whom utilized animals in battle. The taming of animals is commonplace in Ichuk and these tamed animals often were trained to attack in skirmishes, under the command of a hunter or huntress.
