Not necessarily sad. Just Joneigh and Terina were never supposed to get together. Joneigh is supposed to end up on the farm and Terina still with the Council.
Gah!
Do you think it would be bad if I sent Joneigh back to the farm and followed Terina for a while - changing main character for a few paragraphs?
I'm thinking go with the first idea. Wipe memory. It would still kinda fit with plan - and I could use Terina to eat up some words.

My "Main Character" Mason, possesses about forty percent of what I write. The rest is shared by the rest of my characters, Kara, Ellie, John, and even Beckman. There are only like, two characters that I haven't gone into yet, and I doubt I will, because they don't wanna open up to me.

Ok.
Nervous about doing that since the whole journey has followed Joneigh for the entire book. I've switched to Terina a few times but only to show her feelings.
I don't want to piss off the reader lol. (Tanglebox:Landover:Terry Brooks pissed me off coz I couldn't keep track easily of the switches - so it's something I like to avoid)

She can express the sadness.

Panic is subsiding. Damned main characters coming to life and changing the story! I'll try with the memory wipe idea and see how it goes Thankies, Evern. You have no idea how much you just helped

I've got the same thing but... I actually think it's because I'm at a half-way point, not at the end? You two are going to finish at 50k and I'm going to near 90k after editing, I think... YOU'RE GOING TO ABANDON ME HALF-WAY, YOU BASTARDS!

It'll be funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
Anyway, going to hopefully write a lot this weekend. I know where I'm going now. I had a concern that this was going to end up far shorter than I expected in late 60/early 70 thousands. But I've just realised that I'm not even getting into the more action packed middle of the story till at least Chapter 12.

You have no idea how much you just helped If your female character could somehow be responsible for his memory wipe it would make the transition from his perspective to hers a little easier and you could get into how she felt about doing it, why she was doing it, why she figured it was necessary, and maybe even why she might regret it. This is all just throwing things out there.

Oh - that is a bloody good idea, Zovo!
Unfortunately not possible. Terina(AID) likes Joneigh(MC) There would be no reason for her to wipe his mind and she is a successful Witch so it cannot just happen on accident.
Its going to be Pruella doing the mind-wipe. It will be double-edged sword.
SIDENOTE: I really want to finish this book so I can start writing the next more awesome story. I've learnt a lot from Bel-Gonows and want to put it to practice on another book >.< NaNoWriMo has changed me. It's forced me to catch the writing-bug! ;D
