So yeah, designing a RP world. I got the roughest idea down for it and anyone whose actually interested in taking this farther can contribute to it. So far these are the races I have down: Humans Chialchicittecca ( awritersrecluse.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=projects&action=display&thread=1806 ) Mutants, not like the X-Men type but more monstrous and stuff (Non-playable) Weird golem like things that have no actual thought to them. (Iffy on this, for playable or not) Demons (Non-playable, as main) Elementals Then for magic I have, so far, given only the Chial as the *mortal* race for full autonomous magic. Others generally make demonic pacts are summon elementals for their magic. Got a main baddy down called The Hollow. And I'll actually be explaining a lot of the history and stuff of the world in here. Still need a name for the world and would prefer a few more races (trying not to go for orcs, dwarves, goblins, and elves, and stuff... on the fence for dragons... but def not the intelligent magical ones) So yeah. If no one is interested in the actual RP of this, I'll turn it into a story.

History:
At the beginning of the world, there were two sentient races. The Chialchicittecca, who were large, peaceful bird-like creatures that were extremely advanced compared to their neighbors, the humans.
Where the Chiala's were peaceful, the humans were barbarous and warlike, split into smaller clans that warred with each other on a daily basis. The Chiala's kept their distance from their neighbors, frightening them off with their science and their magic. Though humans, at this time, were capable of full autonomous magic as well, they were at the time to primitive to discover it.
Years passed and the two races kept their distance, the humans had evolved more but had not lost their warring ways. But they had advanced their knowledge. Now their wars were scarred by plains of fire and death. Corruption plaguing the lands they did battle on, and much of humankind. Those who were close to the powers that they now wielded became warped and twisted mockeries that were shunned by those who did not have close-ties with them.
Also, at this time, the Chiala's witnessed what would be the rise of the first human empire. Lead by Chieftain Bardal Ragelord of the Ukruk Clan, the small clan slowly began to attack and absorb the other clans, until the vast Empire of Impireacht was founded. And the sites of the Emperor and his armies was turned on their peaceful neighbors.
Throughout the countless centuries, the Chiala's had relied upon fear to keep from confrontation with the humans. Or even their natural gift for flight. But now, the humans did not fear them, and wanted to take from them everything they could. And so, the once peaceful people were forced to don armor for war.
At the time, the Emperor Chromas was ruling, he abdicated his throne for one of the more militaristic Eagle Chiala's to take over, General Lineos. The general lead his own forces into battle with the humans, the theurges and magic of the Chiala countering the mutant monstrosities, that were the former human magi.
With Lineous at the head, the war turned from defensive to offensive. The Chiala's striking hard and fast at the vast hordes of Bardal. Able to skirmish and escape better than the humans, and surprise them from above.
Bardal was intelligent, though, and saw where this would lead. His empire would be crushed, and the Chiala might enslave his people. And so, he went to his magi and ordered them to make for him an army that would not be stopped by their foe.
And so, they did.
Creatures of stone and iron, forged of magic and flames. Simply called "golems" by the humans, they became known as Paragons or Halcyons by the Chialas, for how perfect and serene they looked while fighting.
With this new addition to the hordes, one that was not effected by magic. That would not bleed or be slowed by exhaustion and wounds. The Chiala's were slammed hard onto the defensive.
The fight came to an end when Lineos was struck down by Bardal in fair combat. This lead to the Chiala being forced to fight beak and talon to survive.
The scientists amongst their people used the time of the pure defensive to begin constructing an escape route. It was a few more decades of a losing battle when the first of the Cities was created. It was large enough to house the entire population of the Chiala, and with magic it would protect them from the humans.
The plan was put into action and the City of a Million Wings took to the air. The army of the Chiala withdrew once their own magic users held back the hordes of Bardal, the entirety of their people withdrawing into the skies and exile from the foul humans.
Strangely enough, at this time, the humans witnessed a loss in their arcane autonomy. Where only those who had used them before, or those who had been too close to the effects, could still control the wild floes.
While these "mutants" continued to live side-by-side with humans, it was in the age of Bardal's son, Ramalis, that the Great Purge began, and many of the mutants were killed. Those that had been changed but could not wield magic managed to escape, while the others were burned at stakes. And this served to bring about the great enmity between the mutants and the humans.

Paragons / Halcyons -
Appearance: Most all Paragons have been remade since the time of Emperor Bardal, stone parts replaced with solid metal, and their helmet-like heads given eye slots, though they had no need to see, and had rubies inserted that were enchanted to give a menacing glow.
Their right arm either comes in the form of a bastard sword, a great axe, or a maul. Their left arm and legs are all in the form of lances. Each part of their body hovers away from it, giving them the appearance of ghostly warriors. They are extremely slick, and hover a few inches above the ground.
History after the Great War -
These creatures are the ancient invincible guardians of the former great Empire of man. During the time of Emperor Atris the Second, the standing force was ordered deactivated and locked away beneath the land, only to be brought back in a time of great peril.
During the Times of Darkness, when the mutants had risen up and were lead by a savage mutant known only as Great One, the Paragons once again saw combat. Marching forth from their underground lair to combat the mutants who could not stand against such fierce foes. After the monsters were beaten back, and their Great One lost to the Desolate Plains, the Paragons were placed back beneath ground to slumber.
During the War of Twelve Provinces, when the twelve sons and daughters of the late Emperor Markius the Benevolent, waged battle against one another the Paragons were brought forth by the eldest son, Prince Rayad. His brothers and sisters had trouble standing against his force, for they would never ally with one another. But he underestimated the resources of his sister.
Princess Lilliana sent messengers to the Desolate Plains, bringing the mutants to her will. She outfitted the monstrous men with new weapons and armor, and had her Summoners and Warlocks teach them magic.
And so, when her army faced down the force of Paragons, she was victorious. Her extra force of Summoners and Warlocks proving that, while the Paragons were immune to magic, the demons from the Pit and the Elemental beings from the Planes were strong enough physically to match the Paragons.
This forced her brother's army into a full retreat in which she followed after him. Chasing his forces across the border before her army was forced to withdraw, heavy bow fire turning them.
During the final confrontation of the War of Twelve Provinces, a third unexpected force made its appearance. The Chiala's.
Dropping down from above, the aerial force scoured both Princess Lilliana's and Prince Rayad's forces with heavy fire from bows and spears. Even going so far as to swoop down and pick up soldiers, tossing them through the air.
The appearance of the normally peaceful people marked the end of the war as the youngest of the siblings, Prince Albrecht took the field. While his elder brother and sister had waged their own war, he had subjugated the other nine provinces, after that he spoke with the Chiala's and asked them for their aide in combat, promising them the land of his brother Rayad. Another part of the deal was to capture Princess Lilliana, whom Albrecht had had a crush on since they were young.
Rayad was forced into a full retreat once the Chiala's had managed the trick in shutting down the Paragons, and Lilliana's forces were held in place by the larger force of Albrecht.
The young Prince then moved upon his sister's province, bringing in the force of Chiala's to clear out the guards in her mansion. And there he gave her the choice of marriage or death, where she inevitably chose marriage.
The Paragons were once again shut down, the mutants sent back to the Desolate Plains after they realized the deal they had been given would not be kept. And the Chiala's were allowed to keep Rayad's territory, keeping the Prince bound in his mansion, which would serve as his prison and tomb.
It is only in recent times that the Paragons have once again been activated, when the tensions between humans, mutants, and Chiala's has achieved its highest point in centuries.
Older units:
Blades Axers Hammers
Newer units:
Death-Walkers (Scythe arm instead of the original right arm) Rangers (Left arm has fingers that work to fit in arrows for a bow-like right arm)

Splendidly done for the intro and new race. A few spelling and grammar errors here and there, but you got the picture across and it's looking good for a start.
Annndd suggestion for the paragon guys - how about winged ones for the new versions? Seeing as how they were programmed to counter the Chiala's, they should probably be revamped for the purpose of attacking their flying targets. Perhaps the Death-walkers can be revamped with this, or all of them, if they can't already fly.

Though what I might do, and I'll probably do a better description for each of the newer models with this, is have an Elemental of Wind bound into the Death-Walkers for fighting against the Chiala's.

Or maybe I just like the angel of death imagery.

Assassins, the humans can probably handle better.

Could still be great as upgraded Bladers, like, fan-of-blades. I figure since they're built as golems the humans would make use of their strength. It's hard to wield a flurry of swords together as a human, but as a golem-thing that might not be the case. Scissorhands could be a mutant thing, or possibly a human assassin-style.

Finished the elemental designs.
Going to try and perfect the Paragon designs some more (blegh, hate the fact I ahve to do this on lined paper...)
Going to work on some mutant and demon concepts as well.
Maybe some Chiala ones.
Going to work on concepts for The Hollow.
And (I decided yes) for the dragons.

(( History of The Hollow ))
During the reign of Emperor Calcitris, four-hundred years after the War of Twelve Provinces, warlocks were still an anomaly, and were considered pariahs by the public for their dark pacts and deals. Many former summoners converted to the dark path in a hunger for greater power, even if it cost them their soul.
Though, others turned to these powers searching for aide. One such was a young man named Erodis, whose wife, Ariadna, had fallen ill with a violent disease that caused one to slowly wither and die while falling into the stupor of believing they are uninjured, even feeling strengthened.
Erodis had foregone the path he had walked since he began apprenticeship in the Wave Academy. Making a pact with one of the darkest demons of The Pit. The demon, Ael'geraz would give Erodis the ability to end his wife's suffering, but if Erodis were to die from murder or suicide, Ael'geraz could take him over.
Erodis agreed, not caring about the second part of the bargain, and hurried to his wife's side. She was forced to be strapped down into bed, tanned leather holding her down. He spoke the words to the spell the demon had indicated, pointing a finger at her.
An arrow made of pure night shot into her heart, causing Ariadna to gasp and arch her back in unbearable agony before she lay still. Her flesh pale and cold, her eyes glazed. Her suffering... at an end.
Erodis stared at his wife, horror on his face for what he had done. No, what the demon had done. Utter sorrow and grief over took him, the weight of the emotions so great he could hardly stand.
With a shaking hand, he pointed a finger at his heart. His quivering lips slowly mumbled the words to the spell he had used upon his wife.
An arrow of night shot into his heart, the poisonous tendrils of Ael'geraz worming their way into his body before he had fully died. The demon going so far as to plant its consciousness in early. But it did not expect Erodis to seek vengenace upon it.
The will of the dying warlock smashed into the consciousness of Ael'geraz, and battered at it. Breaking it apart piece by piece till only the shattered remnants of what was once a powerful demon remained.
But this didn't stop the process. And Erodis found himself fully taken over by the demon's corruption, with a mind broken from grief and death. A yawning emptiness roared inside of him, echoing only the pangs of loss and sorrow.
His addled mind bubbled forth a new identity for the warlock. The Hollow...
The Hollow escaped from Emperor Calcitris' domain, making his way into the Desolate Plains where he would seek out the mutants, whom he would bring under his command.
