*shakes head in disapointment* LOOK HOW FUCKING BIG IT WAS! THAT WAS JUST ONE TINY ZONE! I'm dividing mine into maybe a third of the area map itself. That's enough for the boonies, might be enough for the more civilized zones.

I might be able to do the neutral zone as a single zone. Though I know that Nation 5 is going to be a bitch. At least only one forest. Some marshland too...

I enjoy doing everything but forests. Like, I got the chance to do a hotsprings on this last one. That was tons of fun.

I debated writing up a short story about exploring those right then and there.

I debated writing up a short story about exploring those right then and there. My adventuring/safety seeking group will have to pass through one or two. There is a bridge connecting the two continents made by this mysterious civilization too. Though it's more like white stone but dirty over time. Parts may be crumbling too.

*shakes head in disapointment* LOOK HOW FUCKING BIG IT WAS! THAT WAS JUST ONE TINY ZONE! So you keep drawing them all at your leisure and when you're done you lay them out in a field somewhere, take a picture and set a world record for biggest ..... map.

Oh, I'm going to do it eventually. But if I intend to get this world created and start writing anytime soon, I need to just use smaller maps now, and do those ones later while I write.

Awesome thing you're doing here.
The backbone of a fantasy world in my opinion is the literal world itself. When you've got something that's almost entirely in your imagination giving it a concrete face not only allows you to visualize it easier and in more detail but everyone taking part in it as well.
I think waiting to do the really detailed versions until you're writing will work out better. If you go into more detail while writing it you'll ideas for one will lend themselves to the other.
